Mojo 221 & Sneak Peek

Happy last day of 2011! I have to say that I had a pretty good year. I spent time with friends and family and got to do a lot of paper crafting, which always makes me happy. For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge I used some of the new Stampin’ Up! products that will be available in the Occasions Mini Catalog (January 4, 2012) and the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (January 24, 2012). The card stock is Pool Party, Lucky Limeaide and Very Vanilla, they are quickly becoming my favorites. The Designer Series Paper is Everyday Enchantment (Sale-A-Bration). It coordinates with some of the new and old in-colors. I used the new Edgelits Dies on the top two banners. They give you a nice clean decorated edge with minimal fuss. The heart is from the new Take It to Heart Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and the P.S. I Love You Set (Occasions Mini). I cut out the heart with the new Framelits Hearts Collection Dies. They work great with the stamped images because you can position them exactly where you want to and see where you are going to cut. The sentiment is also from the P.S. I Love You Set and was punched out using the Modern Label Punch. Finally, the printed brads and ribbon are from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration). I love all of the new Stampin’ Up! products in the two new catalogs and I’m sure that you will too. If you would like a catalog email me and I’ll send one to you. For orders you can contact me or click over on the right to shop online anytime! Have a happy and safe New Years Eve and a prosperous New Year!

Contempo Chocolate

I think this will be my last Christmas card post for the year. This is also one of my favorite cards. I have made this card many times and I love it because it’s a card and it holds chocolate. You can also make it with a gift card holder inside. I used some Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Whisper White Card Stock. The image and greeting is from the Contempo Christmas Stamp Set and I stamped them in Cherry Cobbler. Using the Simply Scored makes this super easy to make. The Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and some Stampin’ Dimensionals give it some depth. I hoe you like the card and as always thanks for stopping by.

Santa Belt Bag Topper

Good morning everyone! Has everyone started making their New Year’s resolutions? I haven’t, I find that I don’t follow them for very long. 🙂 Anyway, here is another post with a Christmas theme. I had to wrap a gift and I didn’t have a box but the gift fit in a kraft paper bag so I made a quick bag topper and card that matched. For the bag topper I used some Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Card Stock. I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the bottom edge and the image is from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set and it was stamped on Whisper White. I punched the edge of both sides for the top and put on the greeting. The cute Santa tags are from the Tags Till Christmas set and they were punched out with the Large Tag Punch and the mounted on some Garden Green Card Stock and punched out with the Extra Large Tag Punch. The card uses the same elements but I used the Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. It a great way to dress up a plain bag and it’s quick and easy too. Sorry the pictures are so dark, I need to work on that! I hope you like the projects and thanks as always for stopping by!

Christmas Lodge Lovely Trees

Another card that I made for Christmas was cased from another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Ann Schach. She made a gorgeous card back in November using the Christmas Lodge Stamp Set. For a backdrop she used the Lovely As a Tree Wood Mount Set. I used the same idea to make my Dad’s card. The Lodge and Trees are stamped in Early Espresso, with the second set of trees stamped off to give it some depth. For even more depth the lodge was cut out and put on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used a little Dazzling Details on the roof for a little snow effect. The 1 1/4″ Square punch is an easy way to make the flags on either side of the greeting (a tip from Mary Fish!). The edges of the Very Vanilla Card Stock were sponged with Crumb Cake and the greeting was rubbed in Cherry Cobbler. The box uses the same lodge but stamped in Cherry Cobbler with the greeting from Petite Pairs. It’s a nice masculine card and my dad liked it, I hope you do too. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Butterfly Christmas & Sneak Peek

So Christmas has come and gone. I hope that everyone got what they wanted and that you all had a great day. I’ll be posting some items that I made that I couldn’t post before because the people they were intended for would have seen them! Here is the Christmas Card that I made for my mom along with a box that matches the card. I used some Elegant Eggplant, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla Card Stock. The beautiful doily is the new Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die available in a few days (January 4th) from the new Occasions Mini Catalog. It’s very intricate and looks great with the butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. The greeting on the card is from the Contempo Christmas Set and I punched a little Silver Glimmer paper with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack for a little bling. On the box I used the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and then ran it through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The greeting on the box os from the Sincere Salutations Wood Mount Set. My mom loved the card and box and I hope you like them too. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

PPA 125 & Sneak Peek

Hello peeps! I hope everyone is ready for Christmas… I’m not! Anyway, this weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge calls for a tag. I decided to use the new Tea Shoppe Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog (available January 4, 2012). I love the vintage feel of the set and the tea cup was perfect for my tag, the tea bag tag. I punched out the tag with the Large Tag Punch. The greeting is punched out with the Modern Label Punch and is also from the Tea Shoppe Set. The Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper is from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (available January 24, 2012) and I used Pool Party and Soft Suede Card Stock that coordinates with the new DSP. The “awning” has some Poppy Parade 1/8″ Organdy Ribbon that is also from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog and comes as a pack with Lucky Limeade Ribbon and some Designer Printed Brads. The edge was punched out with the Scallop Border Punch. The stamp, also from the Tea Shoppe Set, was inked in Poppy Parade and punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch. Last, but certainly not least, the cup was inked in Pool Party and cut out. I love all of the items in both of the upcoming Catalogs and can’t wait for all of you to get your hands on them. If you need a catalog, email me and I would be happy to send you one. Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Window Bonsai

It was my friend Kim Doi’s Birthday at the end of November. She is one of the greatest friends that anyone could ask for. She is an avid photographer so I always like to incorporate one of her beautiful pictures into her cards. I needed a way to make a window on a card and I found that Sizzix has a movers and shapers window die that I could use with my Stampin’ Up! Magnetic Movers and Shapers Die. I used some Always Artichoke, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla Smooth Card Stock. The greeting is from Petite Pairs and is inked with Soft Suede. I used the marker to stamp technique on the bonsai tree from the Plant Hope set. It’s markered with Soft Suede, Always Artichoke and Basic Black. She loved the card and it was the perfect way to start our tour of the Midwest! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
