CCMC 207

Hello everyone and welcome to Saturday! It’s my friend Tony’s 30th birthday today and we are having a little party for him later. I’ll get to see my peeps! Wee! It’s supposed to be nice out today and in the 80’s. Yesterday we had torrential rain for about 2 hours and it is still muggy out. My friend Kim is also coming out to visit from Manhattan tomorrow, it’s going to be a great weekend!

Today’s post is for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we have a sketch challenge to work with…

I looked at it an thought how nice and simple, I still managed to use about 10 different things! The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. The top part of the angled paper is a piece from the World Spectacular Designer Series Paper. Next we have a piece of Calypso Coral 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon. On the Very Vanilla piece I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies and the letters are from the Lovely Letters Alphabet Stamp Set and they are stamped in Midnight Muse. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get them all lined up. The you on the bottom was markered in Midnight Muse and is from the retired Engraved Greetings. I punched it out with the Extra Large Oval Punch and then used the Decorative Label Punch with some Calypso Coral to mount it on before adhering it to the card with SNAIL. For a little balance I used one of the Everyday Enchantment Brads from the 2012 Sale-A-Bration catalog. I punched out a piece of Midnight Muse with the 3/4″ Circle Punch and used the Paper-Piercing Tools and the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack for a little added texture. It’s mounted to the card with a Mini Glue Dot. The color combination is very different for me and I like it more than I though I would. I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Create with Connie and Mary card and that you have a wonderful Saturday! Thanks for checking in! 🙂
