It’s a very large piece of property and there are five houses in all. The weather has been gorgeous and I’m having a really relaxing time. Later I’m going to bust out some stamps and start on my swaps for my meeting in 2 weeks, I am suffering from withdrawal!
Today’s card is a CASE of one from this month’s issue of Stampin’ Success, the magazine that we get as demonstrators. I changed up some of the elements but kept the layout the same. The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card Stock. I stamped the front of the card with the Woodgrain Background stamp using Crumb Cake Ink. Then I took my 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and punched out a piece on the left side. Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and some Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper I made a rosette and centered it in the hole that I punched out. The middle of the rosette has a piece of Vellum Card Stock punched out with the new 1 /4″ Scalloped Circle Punch. On to top of that are pieces of Real Red and Whisper White Card Stock that are punched out with the Boho Blossoms Punch. They are all held together with a Neutrals Collection Brad and adhered to the rosette with some Mini Glue Dots. I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit to cut out some butterflies in Real Red and Whisper White and adhered them to the card with some more Mini Glue Dots. Some Basic Jewels Pearls add some nice interest to the bodies and I slightly bent the wings up on some of them. The greeting is from the Made For You Stamp Set and is stamped in Real Red on Whisper White. I used my Paper Snips to flag the end and used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and the Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce the edges and placed a piece of Real Red behind it before mounting it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really like the card and how simple and beautiful it is. I’ll be making some different variations as this one is definitely a favorite of mine.
