Primrose Crumb Pool Preserved Thanks Sneak Peek

Good morning peeps! Welcome to one of my favorite days of the week, Wednesday. It’s a great day because it means we are halfway through the week. I’m getting excited because I am going up to Vermont for a few days to visit some friends. It will be nice to get away for a bit but I will be taking some crafting stuff with me so I don’t go through withdrawal! Today’s card is another sneak peek at a new Stamp Set from the 2012 Holiday Catalog. I also CASE’d some of it from a sample in the catalog. The base of the card is Pool Party Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamped images are all from the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set*. The jar is stamped in Pool Party, the stems are stamped in Lucky Limeade, the flower on the right is stamped in Primrose Petals and the one on the left is stamped in More Mustard and cut out with the new Cannery Framelits Dies*. I used a 3/16″ Metallic Brad in the middle and mounted it to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I backed the Whisper White Stamped piece with some more Pool Party and adhered the whole thing to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals too. The greeting is stamped in Primrose Petals and punched out with the Small Oval Punch. I really like the simplicity of this card and I am loving the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set* and coordinating Cannery Framelits Dies*. They are available in a bundle for a 10% discount, how could you not get both?! I hope you enjoyed today’s sneak peek and thanks for stopping by. Have an amazing day! 🙂

Mojo 249 and Sneak Peek

Good morning everyone! I hope that you all had a bearable Monday. My day was good, truth be told I am always looking forward to the weekend as I’m sure so many of us are!

Today’s post is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This week’s sketch is provided by Carole Burrage…

I like the skewed middle piece to this sketch. I have to say that I had a harder time skewing the middle than I usually do putting it on straight! The base of my card is Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. For the background I used some International Bazaar Designer Series Paper and the the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the pieces of Pacific Point Card Stock. Across the middle is a piece of Chocolate Chip that I use the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies to cut the one side. The white piece is stamped in Rich Razzleberry with an image from the new Make a Mitten Stamp Set* from the 2012 Holiday Catalog. There are four stamps in the set that you can use for a border. The main images are from the Flock Together Stamp Set and are stamped in Chocolate Chip and Pacific Point. I mounted it to a piece of Daffodil Delight Card Stock and it is mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Made for You Stamp Set and is stamped in Tangerine Tango. I used my Paper Snips to flag the one and and mounted it to a piece of Tangerine Tango Card Stock. For the perfect finishing touch I added 3 Basic Jewels Rhinestones to the bottom right corner. I love the International Bazaar DSP because it has so many different colors in it and gives you a lot more options. I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card. Thank so much for paying me a visit and have great day!

Paper Player #103 and Sneak Peek

Hello everyone and welcome to Monday. I had a very nice weekend and got most of what I wanted to get accomplished done. There is always something that I don’t get to but there’s always tomorrow! I hope that you all had a nice weekend and the heat is finally supposed to break today which is welcome after the scorcher of a weekend that we had here on Long Island.

Today’s card is for this weeks Paper Players Challenge. This week we have a color challenge from Anne Marie…

I thought about doing a nice summer themed card but I really wanted to use some new stuff so I did a Christmas card. I like to think of it as my Christmas in Florida card! The base of the card is Calypso Coral Card Stock. The center panel is embossed with the new Holiday Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder* in Daffodil Delight. The top and the bottom have a piece of Lucky Limeade that I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies on and then adhered to the back before I mounted it to the card. The images in the middle are from the new Joyous Celebrations Stamp Set* that coordinates nicely with the embossing folder. I stamped the oval image in Lucky Limeade and punched it out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. I stamped the joy in Calypso Coral and cut it out with my Paper Snips along with the bow at the top. They are all mounted to each other and the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The four ornament images in the corners are from the new Merry Minis Stamp Set* and are stamped in Lucky Limeade and punched out with the new coordinating Merry Minis Punch Pack*. They too are mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a small Basic Jewels Pearl to the center of each of the ornaments and the center of the bow. It’s definitely a different color combination for a holiday card but if I lived someplace warm I would think that it would be fitting! I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Paper Players Challenge card and thank you as always for visiting. Have a great Monday! 🙂

PPA 138 and Sneak Peek

A good Sunday morning to you all. How did everyone fare in yesterday’s heat? I went out for a little while and felt like my skin was melting but most of the day I spent inside crafting in the A/C. I didn’t get as much done as I wanted to but I had a few creative bursts. My post is a little late this morning because I went for an 11 mile bike ride with the wonderful Stamp with Sandy. It may have been a little ambitious for my first time out this year but I actually feel pretty good! Thanks Sandy!

Today’s post is for the bi monthly Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This time we have a color challenge…

The nice fall colors did help make me feel a little cooler yesterday! I have another sneak peek for you today from the 2012 Holiday Catalog that you will be able to order from starting August 1st. The base of my card is Daffodil Delight Card Stock and I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler on top of the front. The Early Espresso is embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I adhered a piece of Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon to the bottom with some Sticky Strip on the back before I adhered it to the Cherry Cobbler piece with SNAIL. All of the stamped images including the greeting are from the new Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set* in the Holiday Catalog. I stamped the jar in Early Espresso and the lid in Daffodil Delight. The apples are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and the leaves are stamped in Gumball Green. The flowers are also stamped in Daffodil Delight and all of the images are cut out with the Cannery Framelits Dies* also new in the Holiday Catalog. I love when stamps have matching Framelits, it makes cutting them out so easy and the stamp set and the Framelits are available as a bundle for a 10% savings! I tied a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine around the lid before I attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Everything else is also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals except for the jar which is adhered with SNAIL. The greeting and the piece of Cherry Cobbler behind it are cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. I added two Brights Collection 3/8″ Brads to the centers of the flowers for a little added detail. I love the new Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set* and Cannery Framelits Dies*! I can’t wait to see what else I can put in a jar! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge and the sneak peek from the 2012 Holiday Catalog. Thank you very much for taking some time out of your day to visit and stay cool and enjoy!

CCMC 209 and Sneak Peek

A good Saturday morning to you all! It’s supposed to be a scorcher here on Long Island today and from what I saw the rest of the country too. On days like today I like to stay inside in the A/C and craft! What better way to spend the day than being cool and creative?! 🙂

Today’s post is for this weeks Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week they have provided us with this nice sketch…

I am a big fan of anything that is flagged so I love this! I also finished mounting my stamps from the new Holiday Catalog and couldn’t wait to use one set in particular. I love the Affection Collection* Stamp Set. It has a great whimsical tattooed feel to it. The base of my card is Basic Gray Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Real Red Card Stock with the new Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder*. I took a piece of Pool Party and Basic Gray and flagged the ends. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and the Paper-Piercing Tool on the sides of both and adhered them to the card with SNAIL. I stamped one of the images from the Affection Collection* Stamp Set in Basic Gray on Vellum Card Stock and adhered a piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon to it with Sticky Strip. All of the other images are also from the Affection Collection* Stamp Set. The scalloped background piece is stamped in Pool Party, the flagged #1 is stamped in Real Red and the heart with wings are stamped in Basic Gray and Real Red. I cut all of the elements out with my Paper Snips and used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold them together. A small piece of Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon completes the collage. The greeting, also from the same set, is stamped in Real Red and cut out with my Paper Snips too and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’m in love with this Stamp Set and can’t wait to play with it some more. I can’t wait for you to get your copy of the new Holiday Catalog and start making your lists! I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Challenge card and, as always, thank you so much for stopping by. Stay cool and have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches #42

Hello everyone and welcome to Friday! It’s supposed to feel like 110 degrees here today, I’m not looking forward to that! I am looking forward to this weekend because my box of goodies from the Holiday Catalog Pre-Order arrived yesterday and I can’t wait to play with all of the new stuff! 🙂

Today’s post is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches. This week the sketch comes from Jennifer T. and she has given us this…

I have been wanting to use the Pleasant Poppies Background stamp for a while now and I realized that if I cut it out I could use it for not just a background stamp! The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card Stock and I used the En Français Wood Mount Background Stamp inked in Crumb Cake for a nice tone-on-tone look. I embossed a piece of Real Red Card Stock with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and across that I added a piece of Wild Wasabi that I embossed with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Pleasant Poppies Clear Mount Background Stamp is stamped in Basic Black and colored in with Real Red, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Markers. After I cut it out with my Paper Snips I mounted it to a piece of Crumb Cake and then mounted that to the Real Red piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and is stamped in Real Red and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. I really like the color combination and I love the Pleasant Poppies Stamp. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge card and that you have a great day!

Sweet Bitty Butterfly Chevron Box

Good morning! I hope that everyone had a safe and happy Independence Day and that you have all of you digits still! I went with my friend Kim and my daughter Taylor to a party at my friend Carol’s. I got to see all of my peeps there and the food was great. There was a Sabrett hot dog vendor and a raw bar, clam bake and lobsters. After that we went to Kim & Brian’s and I got to see my favorite little girl Izzy and my other peeps who I have missed so much! All in all it was a great day!

Today’s project is a CASE from the 2012-2013 Catalog. I changed up the colors and greeting and a few other things too. The box is made from Baja Breeze and Soft Suede Card Stock using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The top of the box decoration starts with a piece of Naturals White Card Stock that I cut on both top and bottom with the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies. The piece of Baja Breeze on top is embossed using the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I cut another piece of Naturals White with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies and adhered that to the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The butterflies are punched from Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede Card Stock with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Bitty Buttons to the butterflies. The greeting is from the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set and is stamped in Baja Breeze on Crumb Cake and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. What a nice way to give a good friend a stack of Lotto tickets or some handmade cards. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and thank you for visiting. Have a great day!

Mojo 248

Hello everyone and Happy Independence Day! It’s so nice to have off in the middle of the week! I hope that you have an evening of safe fireworks watching planned for later. Today is my dog Winston’s most unfavorite day of the year. He will spend the evening shaking himself to piece because of the noise. He does it during thunderstorms too but July 4th is much worse. I have some parties to go to today and my friend Kim is out form the city to accompany me.

Today’s post is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is provided by Carole Burrage…

SInce Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have any oval dies any more I used the Labels Collection Framelits instead. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Cajun Craze with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To the top of that I added a piece of Comfort CafĂ© Designer Series Paper and I punched a piece of Very Vanilla with the Scallop Trim Border Punch to go along the bottom edge. The piece of ribbon across the middle is Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon and I tied a knot on the right side and snipped it at an angel with my Paper Snips. The stamped image is from the From My Heart Stamp Set and is stamped in Cajun Craze. I embossed a piece of Soft Suede with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and mounted it to a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. I adhered the stamped image and the backing to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the a nice finish I used one of the Naturals Designer Series Buttons and a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere a piece of Cajun Craze that I punched out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch. To the center of it I added a Basic Jewels Large Pearl and used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the card. I love the colors in the Comfort CafĂ© DSP and I really like the way the button looks with the paper and the pearl in the middle. I hope that y0u enjoyed this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card and thank you as always for checking in. Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Tangerine Razzleberry Floral Occasion Box

A big hello to you all today. How did every fare with their Monday? Mine was good, I had card class and my daughter comes with me so it makes fun! Plus the other people are great, we always have a laugh. 🙂

Today’s project is a little gift box. The dimensions of it are 3″ x 3″ x 1″. I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to make the box, the bottom of which is Rich Razzleberry and the top is Tangerine Tango. To decorate the top I started with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and used the Large Scallop Finishing Touches Edgelit Die on both sides. On top of that is a piece of Floral District Designer Series Paper. Then I took a piece of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and flagged the ends on both sides with my Paper Snips. The rosette is also made from a piece of Floral District DSP and scored with the Simply Scored. I used two scraps of card stock punched out with the 1″ Circle punch and glue dots to hold it together. For a little extra detail I punched out a piece of Rich Razzleberry with the Curly Label Punch and used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack around the outside edge. The stamped images are from the A Fitting Occasion Stamp Set and are stamped in Tangerine Tango and Baja Breeze ink and then punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. I adhered both of the top pieces with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the bright colors and am a big fan of the rosette. What a great little box to give someone a little handmade stack of gift cards. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and that you will make some boxes of your own. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Paper Players #102

Hello everyone and happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was good, I got to see some friends, craft and my brother and his fiancĂ© picked up the Wedding invitations! I’m so happy they are finished and that they were happy with them. Next up… thank you cards! 🙂

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. This week we have a theme challenge, Christmas in July…

I was very happy to get to use some of my new Christmas stamps. The base of my card is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of the card. The greeting at the top is from the Cheerful Christmas Stampin’ Around Wheel. I used the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to punch out the letters. Then I used the Ticket Duo Builder Punch with Gumball Green Card Stock and adhered the letters to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The middle is a piece of Cherry Cobbler cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. I stamped the image from the Chock-Full of Cheer Stamp Set in Gumball Green and punched it our with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. The ornament loop is stamped in VersaMark and the heat embossed with Pewter Stampin’ Emboss Powder. In the middle is a Vintage Faceted Designer Button with a piece of Cherry Cobbler punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Basic Jewels Rhinestone adhered in the center. The whole thing is mounted to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The paper bow at the top was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler using the Cheerful Christmas Wheel and cut and assembled with Sticky Strip. Another Rhinestone is adhered in the middle. The bottom image is also from the Chock-Full of Cheer Stamp Set and is stamped in Gumball Green. I used still more Rhinestones in the middle of each image and mounted it to a piece of Gumball Green Card Stock and still more Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. I’m loving the brighter Gumball Green for the holiday’s this year. I hope that you enjoyed today’s Paper Players Challenge card and that you are inspired to make some holiday cards too. Thank you so much for visiting and have a great day!
