Postage Affection Primrose Travel Friend and Sneak Peek

Good morning everyone! How is everyone’s weekend so far? Mine has been great! We went horseback riding this morning and had a great time. We got to help groom the horses and get them all saddled up and then went for a nice ride. You forget how big horses are until you stand next to them!

There I am standing next to Ben, which is the horse my friend rode. We got to walk them around and bond a little before went went out. After our ride went went back to the house and got cleaned up and went over to Chester, VT. We had lunch at this amazing restaurant called Alice’s. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend stopping there for a bite to eat.

Today’s card is another one of my recent favorites. I have really been into Pool Party and Crumb Cake lately, I think it makes a nice subtle combination. The base of the card is Pool Party and I stamped it with the Distressed Dots Background Stamp in Pool Party ink. The layer on top of that is a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock that I cut out with the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die and embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The top set of images are from the new Affection Collection Stamp Set* from the 2012 Holiday Catalog. The backing image is stamped in Pool Party and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and the Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce the oval in the center. The friend is from the same set and is stamped in Primrose Petals and cut out with my Paper Snips. I flagged a piece of Pool Party Card Stock and mounted the images over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The middle set of images are from the Postage Due Stamp Set and are stamped in Primrose Petals and Crumb Cake and punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch. I mounted them to a piece of Primrose Petals that I also paper-pierced and flagged. The bottom image is made using the Travel Journal Builder Wheel and Soft Suede Ink. I flagged the end of that too. The piece of Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon is adhered down the side of the card with Sticky Strip and finally, I flagged the ends of the ribbon too. I love the color combination and these are two of my favorite stamp sets. I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and thanks for stopping by. Have a great Sunday!

    1. Thank you LeAnne! We had so much fun riding. Wow, you have friends in Chester? Alice’s was really good! Small world. My brother lives in Downingtown, PA. He just moved there.
