Hello all and a good Saturday morning to you. I had a very nice day with my cousin yesterday. We went shopping and had some Sonic for lunch. I got one of the balance ball chairs for my craft desk. I see a problem with it all ready though, it’s very bouncy and unknowingly I am bouncing on it all the time!
Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. I mentioned last week that I was asked to be on the design team and this week is my first week participating as a designer! Thanks again to Pam for asking me to be a member. I’m so happy and can’t wait for the blog relaunch at the end of October. I had a lot of different ideas as to what I was going to do but after I settled in the rosette the rest of the card just fell into place. The base of the card is Island Indigo Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. A piece of Very Vanilla I stamped with the Travel Journal Builder Wheel in Crumb Cake, the gears from the Clockworks Stamp Set in Basic Gray and the greeting from the Word Play Stamp Set stamped in Island Indigo creates the piece on the right. A piece of Island Indigo 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon and a Round Designer Ribbon Slide is placed just below the middle of the card and adhered around the back with some Sticky Strip before it is attached to the card. Two pieces of Island Indigo are flagged and attached to the upper left corner. The rosette is made with Fan Fair Designer Series Paper and my Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I stamped the pocket watch in Basic Gray and Island Indigo and then cut it out with my Paper Snips. The rosette and watch are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Island Indigo and Crumb Cake are one of my favorite color combinations and I love the Clockworks Stamp Set.
