Good Monday morning! I hope that everyone had a nice weekend. I was in Manhattan most of the day yesterday visiting a bunch of friends and dropping off an order. I love Manhattan, especially when the weather cools down into the upper 60’s. My friend Kim and I had dinner at this restaurant called Nick’s on 94th and 2nd Ave. The food there is excellent, if you are ever in the area I definitely recommend it!
Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. This week Anne Marie has given us this Tic-Tac-Toe challenge…
I looked at it for a while and just couldn’t decide which ones I wanted to do, so I did all nine! The base of my card is So Saffron Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Baja Breeze with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for my background. The cake is from the Love & Laughter Stamp set and is stamped in Basic Gray on So Saffron. I cut it a little longer and wrapped a piece of Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around the bottom before I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The candle is punched form the Cupcake Builder Punch from Basic Gray and Primrose Petals and adhered with 2-Way Glue. The flags are Basic Gray and Primrose Petals. The trees are from the Merry Minis Stamp Set, stamped in Primrose Petals and Basic Gray, and are punched out with the Merry Minis Punch Pack and adhered to the flags with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons are adhered to the flags with Mini Glue Dots and all have a Basic Jewels Rhinestone in the middle. The Happy Birthday greeting is from the Memorable Moments Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Gray. The Congratulations greeting is from the Love & Laughter Stamp Set and the Merry Christmas is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and is stamped in Primrose Petals. The “&” is from the Family Reunion Stamp Set and is also stamped in Primrose Petals. All of the greetings are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. So let’s see… Christmas, Sparkle/Bling, Ribbon, Buttons, Wedding, Yellow & Gray, Red & Blue, Element repeated in 3’s and Birthday… Check!
