Create with Connie and Mary 231 & Sneak Peek

Ahh, Saturday… how I enjoy thee! Happy weekend everyone! What kind of weekend are you going to have? Is it a mad dash to finish your Christmas shopping or are you all done and you just have to get the house ready for your company?! I think I would rather do Holiday shopping than clean the house! It’s off to Manhattan this morning and I’m going to try to go to Bryant Park and browse the shops they have set up there weather permitting. I also have some crafting left to do before Monday so I’ll be very busy this weekend. But it’s a crafty good kind of busy! πŸ™‚

Today’s post is my card for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we have a sweet little sketch…

CCMC 231

For the base of my card I used some Very Vanilla Card Stock. The background is made from a piece of Tea For Two Designer Series Paper* on the left and a piece of Bashful Blue that I embossed with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder* on the right. I adhered a piece of Lucky Limeade 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon across the seam around the back with Sticky Strip. I used stamps from the set Oh, Hello* for the greeting that is stamped in Calypso Coral on a piece of Very Vanilla that I stamped in So Saffron and cut out with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies*. The piece is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. On the left there is a another piece of Lucky Limeade 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon adhered under a Soda Pop Top. On the inside of the Soda Pop Top is a piece of Calypso Coral that I punched out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and a Basic Jewels Large Rhinestone* is adhered in the center. The two little bees are from the Itty Bitties Stamp Set* and are stamped in So Saffron, punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and adhered with some Mini Glue Dots. I love the different color combination of the Lucky Limeade and Bashful Blue and the Soda Pop Tops are just the coolest embellishment! I hope that you enjoyed my Create with Connie and Mary Challenge card for this week. Thank you for checking in with me and have a fun Saturday!

  4. Love it! I can’t wait to use my honeycomb folder and the Tea for Two designer paper is so pretty in person – I just love it! I am hoping to do a bit of crafting today – so I better get moving. A few presents left to wrap and then get dinner ready for tonight. Basically the house is clean and the laundry done – not that you wanted to know all that. No more shopping for me.
