Mojo 276 & Sneak Peek

Hello everyone! I had a very busy day yesterday, it was definitely a Monday. Work was crazy and it didn’t stop when I got home. I hope that you all had a better day. So, I have some more announcements for you today. Stampin’ Up! has just been rolling them out these past few days! Not that it’s a bad thing, after all they are celebrating their 25th Anniversary. First up we have a special promotion that will run all year long, it’s called the Best of 25 Years Stamps. Each month they will release a new stamp set for $14.95 that will include 3 – 5 stamps. There will be some old favorites along with a new stamp in each set and they will be available in Clear Mount only. The first set is called The Best of Birthdays…

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to collect a piece of Stampin’ Up! history.

The second announcement that I have to share with you today is the addition of ten more never before seen Single Stamps! These stamps are only available until March 31, 2013. These are some great images for you to add to you creative arsenal. Here are the two flyers…

Wow! That’s a lot of cool new product! Now on to today’s post which is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This time around we have a sketch from Carole Burrage…

I had a good idea what I was going to use when I saw the sketch. I have been looking through some magazines for some new color inspiration and I saw one with Rich Razzleberry, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White (that’s not what they called them but that’s what I saw!). The base of my card is Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. For the background on the left side I embossed a piece of Chocolate Chip and Old Olive with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The panel on the right is created using some Whisper White and an image from the Oh, Hello Stamp Set stamped in Rich Razzleberry. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect alignment! For the main panel I cut a piece of Whisper White to 2 1/2″ x 3″. I measured in 3/4″ on each side on the 3″ side, top and bottom, and measure down 1 1/4″ on each side of the 2 1/2″ side. I then used my Paper Trimmer to cut the corners off and made a large hexagon. The images are from the Bloomin’ Marvelous Stamp Set**. The leaves are stamped in Old Olive and the flowers are stamped in Rich Razzleberry and cut out with my Paper Snips. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold them in place. They also hold the butterflies from the same set in the same color that I punched out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch and placed on the right panel. Finally, the greeting is from the Vintage Verses Stamp Set** and is stamped in Chocolate Chip. The colors bring to mind the garden and I love the worn look of the images form the Bloomin’ Marvelous Set. I hope that enjoyed all of the announcements and my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. Thank for stopping by and enjoy your day!

    1. Thanks Jean! I wasn’t sure about the colors but I like them now. I’m sure you’ll get the offers too soon enough. The week will get better tomorrow, I insist! LOL! Have a good day! 😉

  2. I think I had my Monday today – but that is always possible when you work in IT – lol. Hope the rest of your week is smooth sailing!
I like the hexagon pattern you have throughout the card – very nice!

    1. I prefer Monday on Monday! I know what you mean about IT, I do that too! I hope both our weeks are smooth sailing! Thanks, glad you like the card too! Have a good evening!

  3. Now that I have found your blog it’s on my favourites list 🙂 Love this card. Rich Razzleberry is one of my favourite colours and I see you’ve used the Oh, Hello stamp (another reason for me getting this set). I’ve just realised I’ve also got Bloomin Marvelous so I’d better hurry and order Oh, Hello so I can recreate this card.
