Hello everyone! So here we are at Wednesday, almost there! The weather has been much nicer around here lately. It has been in the 40’s and I think it’s supposed to go up to the 50’s over the weekend. I’m making a list of things that I want to do when it gets warmer outside. Does it show that I can’t wait for the spring?!?!
If it’s Wednesday that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a simple sketch…
I wanted to use some new products from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration promotion that starts January 22, 2013. I also haven’t tried the Creped Filter Paper that I got from the 2013 Spring Catalog so I incorporated it into this card. The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. The background is a piece of Creped Filter Paper. I used my Glue Stick to adhere it to the card base. For the strip of Paper I used a piece from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. The flags are Soft Suede, the bottom one has some Metallic 3/16″ Brads on it. I used the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set** for the image and greeting. I stamped both of them in Midnight Muse and used the 2 1/2″ Circle punch to punch out the Penny Farthing. The large button is one of the Silver Basic Designer Buttons and I threaded some Whisper White Bakers Twine through the holes and left the ends long before adhering it to the card with some Mini Glue Dots. This card would be great for a masculine birthday card and I really like the texture that the Creped Filter Paper gives the background.
