Ahh, I feel much better now that I have had a full nights sleep! How are all of you doing today? Is everyone home safely from Convention? I had to make some projects yesterday, four days without crafting is way too long for me! Today I have two cards for you but before I get to those here are a few more pictures from 2013 Convention!
Some of the Fab Friday Design Team: Cindy Beach, Mindy Backes, Jan Tinklenberg, Wendy Weixler, Me and Marla Reed.
The Home Office in Riverton, that’s the view when you first walk in.
Me in front of the banners with my Pistachio Pudding shirt!

Like I said before I have two cards for you today. I wanted to get my Freshly Made Sketches card and Create with Connie and Mary card in before it was too late! First up we have my Freshly Made Sketches card. This week the sketch is provided by Narelle…
The base of the card is Basic Black Card Stock. All of the Designer Series Paper, the frame and the sentiment on the frame are from a Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love this kit because of the frames and the colors. The people in the picture are Me, Wendy Weixler and Brian King. The camera image is form the Around the World Stamp Set and is stamped in Summer Starfruit, I used the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch to punch it out. A little Pool Party flag tucked behind it completes the card. It’s definitely a fun way to add a photo to a card and show that the Paper Pumpkin kits can be used for much more than what they are intended!
Next up we have my card for the Create with Connie and Mary color/sketch challenge…
I used the colors and some elements from the sketch for my card. The base is Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock. I used the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die to cut out a piece of Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper. A piece of Crisp Cantaloupe is cut out with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits Dies and embossed with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder*. The leaves are made using the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and a piece of Pistachio Pudding. A piece of Calypso Coral and Baked Brown Sugar are flagged and slipped underneath. The image is a stamp that Shannon West designed and was given out as a Prize Patrol gift. I cut it out with the Floral Frames Collection Framelits Dies. I thought the stamp was a great way to use one of the personalized stamps instead of just with a name and address. I also love the way that the Pretty Print Folder goes with the DSP. Thank you very very much for stopping by to see my two challenge cards! I always appreciate your visits and look forward to seeing you again tomorrow!

Great pics, Justin! I see my friend Wendy in there…and Jan! And new freak Mindy! Looks like you had lots of fun at convention! So jealous! Love your card for the Create challenge. I like how you incorporated a shaped layer and then the little bunch of fun in the corner to meet the sketch design. Thanks for playing the Create with Connie & Mary challenge this week!
Thank you Lisa! Yes, I was so happy to meet everyone, but you were definitely missed! Glad you like the card, the color and sketch combo was lots of fun! Have a great week! 🙂
Such fun cards. I’m going to use the photo one.
Thanks Wendie! I thought the photo one was neat, good way to use the Paper Pumpkin! 🙂
Woot Woot – great pictures. Thank you Justin. Love your pistachio pudding shirt. Love the cards – both of them are just fab. Very clever of you to put the picture as the focal point on the Freshly Made Sketches card. I did 3 card challenges – my first ever. Freshly Made Sketches was my 2nd challenge. You should check them out. I’m soooo excited that you had a great time at convention – yippee skippee!!!
Thanks Cynthia! I love that picture! I’m going to take a look now! The challenges are fun aren’t they?! Enjoy your day! 🙂

LOVE the pix and post today! I had to miss convention this year – so sad! Isn’t Riverton AMAZING?! Pretty sure I would move if I could work there! LOL!
Thank you Kathy! Riverton is amazing! When I placed an order this morning I could see it coming down the line in my mind! I would work at SU! in a second! 🙂
Your card is so pretty! Love how the script in the dsp is echoed with the embossed script.. so cool! Great idea to put your (fab, new, prize patrol stamp) in the center of the flower shape! Great card to use both the shape plus the color challenges at the same time! Thanks for joining us for the challenges at Create with Connie and Mary!
Thank you Margaret! I love that the DSP and the EF match and I really like the stamp! Have a great week! 🙂
Just saw the new SU video from convention and you’re on it at 2:48! Woo hoo!! Had to pause it to tell you- now back to the movie!
Thanks Kathy! I watched it! Love it!! 🙂
Dang, I love both your card and layout, but I REALLY love that “H” stamp—-adorable! Glad you had fun and are home safe & sound.
Thanks you LeAnne! The stamp was very clever! I hope all is well by you! BTW, your cards have been fantastic as always! 🙂
Wasn’t that a great Convention?!! It was so much fun! I saw you from far away, you were sitting a few rows back from our group. We were the group with the 15 head boppers, made with Pistacio Pudding and flower punches and we were also wearing a shash that said inkspirationalstampers on it. Anyways, I hope you had a great time!
Take care,
Donna Lane from California
