Catherine & Cathy Create 4 & Display Stamper 5

Hey there! Glad to see you again! Yesterday was a nice day, I got my review at work and it was very good. Today is my boss’ birthday and I made a fun card and gift bag that I will post sometime over the next few days. We are supposed to have rain and thunderstorms today but I can’t complain, the weather has been beautiful here. Tomorrow I’m headed out to the Hampton’s for work and I’m going to stay at a friends for the night. As an added bonus my friend Heather is going to meet me out there. Good times will  be had!

VERY IMPORTANT! Today is the first day that you can order from the 2013 Holiday Catalog! From the awesome Simply Created Kits to the Holiday Card Kits and the Stamps, Ink, Paper and Embellishments you know you want some new goodies! Place your order through me and start earning your Anchor Rewards. Earn an Anchor for every $50 order you place (before tax & shipping). After 10 Anchors choose any FREE stamp set from any current catalog! If you are placing an order over $150 don’t enter the Host(ess) code as you will be entitled to your own Host(ess) Dollars. Happy shopping!

Today I have my Design Team card for Catherine & Cathy Create. This week’s challenge is Here Comes the Bride…

CCC Challenge General Logo

I really like the Love & Laughter Stamp Set. I have used it for so many cards over the past year or so and I think it looks great paired with some of the new catalog goodies. The base of my card is Smokey Slate Card Stock. The background is a piece of Costal Cabana that I embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Deco Labels Collection Framelits Dies to cut out a piece of Smokey Slate and embossed that with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper is flagged on the bottom and slipped in behind the label. The image and greeting are both from the Love & Laughter Stamp Set and are stamped in Costal Cabana. I used my Paper Snips to cut out the dress and angled the piece of Whisper White that greeting is stamped on and tucked that behind the dress. I love the color combination and all of the texture the embossing folders give. Thanks for dropping by to see my Design Team card for this week’s Catherine & Cathy Create Here Comes the Bride challenge. Check out the blog to see the other design team projects and enter yours in the gallery. After the supplies list is my second to last Hello, Lovely Display Stamper project and it’s a scrapbook page! I never do those! Enjoy the projects and your day! 🙂

  1. I really like your “here comes the bride” card. Always difficult to find good ideas for engagements without going over the top. Thanks for your inspiration

  2. Love your scrap page, Justin. Like your daughter, I myself am a bit camera shy, unlike my eldest daughter who is constantly taking selfies

  3. nice job! wish i knew someone getting married,lol-thats when you know your getting old-no more weddings-just funerals lol

  4. Lovely card. I don’t particularly like cards with dresses on them – but yours is cool.I have the dress stamps and framelits that we got in the Spring Catalog – not even used yet.

So who is that in the picture with you? Noticed one comment said your daughter (err – “the child” as you lovingly refer to him/her)? Whoever it is – it’s obvious that you care for them. 🙂 I really really like that card – so special.

    1. Thank you Cynthia! I actually really like the dress, I think because it’s covered in text. I have the dress Framelits and don’t really use them a lot. Yes, that’s my daughter (the child!). She is actually a really awesome kid. 🙂

  5. Love the scrapbook page – and I saw it in person. The colors are great, and the photo is wonderful, but I particularly like the tiled effect along the bottom of the page. Yay!

  6. Hello JRK!
The Congraduation Card would difinitely put the WOW factor on anyones face.Beautiful!!!
Nice pic on the page! Again, Love the colors!

Hey, are you interested into doing a “Asian Card”? They can be Simply or Busy…..but they are all striking on their own! I bet you can pull some colors! I would Love to do some of my cards this way, but need some starters. Thanks!!!
