Good day! I had a nice time in the Hamptons and then I had breakfast with Kim, Joe and the kiddies. It was rainy here until the afternoon when it cleared up and we got some sun. How is your weekend going so far? I have a little picture of the beach I went to on Friday…
It’s a little overcast in the picture but the water was a lovely temperature and the sand was nice and soft. We went for a nice walk along the water and it was bliss!
On to the post! Today I have my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts and we have a color challenge from them…
A nice color combo and I decided to go with a freestyle collage card that I got the inspiration for from Pinterest. The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Build a Banner Simply Created kit and a Sponge Dauber with some Smokey Slate to create the right side on the background piece. Two pieces of paper from the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack are layered on top. The tag is the World Map Background Stamp in Daffodil Delight and half of a piece of Smokey Slate punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch is on top. I used the Oh, Hello Stamp Set and some Strawberry Slush on Whisper White punched out with the Label Bracket Punch with a 1″ square and some Gingham Garden Washi Tape to back the greeting that is from the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set. A piece of Linen Thread tied in a bow completes the tag. Some chevrons punched out with the Chevron Border Punch and a circle cut out from Smokey Slate with the Circles Collection Framelits Dies finishes the card. I love the random products that can go so well together. Thanks very much for coming by to see my Pals Paper Arts card for this week’s color challenge. Take a little scroll down to see my second card from the Mosaic Display Stamper projects. Enjoy your Sunday!

I LOVE this card, Justin! What a fabulous layout and perfect use of the challenge colors.
Thank you Sandy! It was a lot of fun to make! 🙂
Everything is fabulous today. Umm, where’s the people on the beach – or did you guys have it all to yourself? That card is awesome – so many layers. Such a fun card. I really like the convention card – could change it into an occasional card – Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine, etc.
Thank you Cynthia! The beach was a little empty but that was the best part! It’s a private beach too. So glad you like the cards! 🙂
Hey Justin – I cased your card. You can see it here:

Thanks for sharing – so I could case it. 🙂
Thanks for the credit Cynthia! Nice job!! 🙂
Justin, I absolutely love this card. There are quite a lot of items included here (I would have stopped seven layers before you), but that’s what I love about it. A lot of stuff – but it works PERFECTLY on this card. Your circle is a stroke of brilliance, and the way you use the Bracket punch blows my mind. Awesome!
Thank you Brian! Yes, there is a lot but that’s the Freestyle Collage look and I’m loving it lately. I’m so glad you like the card! Have an awesomely fantastic day! 🙂
What fun cards! Thanks for sharing the beach photo. My beach experience is on the West Coast.

The freestyle collage is my favorite type of card to create-I can include little bits of minutia that mean something personal from me to the ‘sendee.’ Love the map background, too! Thanx for sharing the beach pic.
Thank you Georgie! It’s one of my favorites too! The beach was fun! 🙂
Wow! Both of your cards are great in their own right! Love all the layers and that scallop circle frame sets everything off and draws you in. We’re so glad you joined us at the Pals Paper Arts this week!
