Hexagon Hello & Peeks

I had a very quiet Saturday, but sometimes that’s necessary no? I’m not really a fan of relaxed and quiet, I would much rather be busy. I ran some errands, worked on some projects and enjoyed the somewhat warm sunny day. I did take a little time to just sit outside and be for a bit. I don’t do that often enough and it felt good. How is your weekend going so far? I’m off to Manhattan this morning. Hopefully it won’t rain!

Today I have a simple card for you that I made using some scraps that I had lying around. The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock. I punched out two pieces of Pool Party with the Hexagon Punch and smaller hexagons are pieces that were leftover from using the Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die*. I simply adhered them to the card and then stamped the greeting from the Four You Stamp Set in Pool Party. Simple yet fun and highly mailable. I hope you enjoyed my simple sunday card and thanks for coming by. I hope you have a nice simple Sunday! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin – your card today is very much my type of design. Clean and simple. I do love the hexagon punch and didn’t realize how beautifully the “scraps” from the hexagon hive thinlet die would fit into the punched hexagons. I have to start using my scraps more. They just keep piling up and frankly, I kind of forget about them. I guess I need to pay more attention. LOL You have a great day in Manhattan, we are poised to receive 6″-10″ of wet heavy snow late afternoon into tomorrow. With all the ice on the trees that will most likely mean more power outages. Oh well, I guess it’s just “wintah” here in Maine.

    1. Hey Grace! Yes, I need a clean and simple card every so often! I too have to use my scraps more! I had to do a swap and used the Hexagon Hive Die, you will see a lot more Tangerine hexagons!! Manhattan was miserable and rainy, not a day for walking around. I’ll take rain over snow any day though! Yes, that is definitely “wintah” in Maine! Keep warm! 🙂

  2. You bet I enjoy this card. Once you determined your color combo and placement, you could mass produce this in 5 or less. Don’t think? How long did it take? I highly recommend sitting outside more often, in appropriate weather of course. It is something I do as much as I can, especially in the evening. I live in the country and it’s so nice to watch the sunset and listen to Mother Nature. So relaxing and clears the mind. On the other hand I do love the big cities, so I am jealous of you always being able to run into Manhattan. Enjoy your day rain or shine. Thanks again Justin for another adorable card.

    1. Yeah! Thanks Lisa! It only took 10 minutes to make, love when that happens! I will definitely take your advice, I can’t wait for the warmer weather so I can sit outside a lot! It did clear my mind. I would like to be in the country, it’s too crowded here sometimes. Manhattan was ok, too much rain. Thanks for visiting! 🙂

  3. Happy Sunday Justin! Hope you’re having a great time on your Manhattan adventure today! Looking forward to your pictures! Love this card…the simplicity is nice. I don’t use up my scraps often enough. Great colors too. The hexagons are spaced and placed perfectly! Thanks again for sharing your creations with us!

    1. Happy Sunday Karen! Manhattan was gloomy today, I wasn’t in long. I do have one picture to share tomorrow. Yes, the card is simple but fun. Thank you for checking in! 🙂
