Yes, more snow! I know that you are as shocked as I am! LOL! Not really… we got a coating last night and it’s supposed to snow until 11:30. At that time I guess they turn the snow off?!?! I would prefer if they turned the snow off completely! Yesterday work was unusually quiet, not that I’m complaining, it just never is! All in all a pretty uneventful Monday, which is definitely good for a Monday! 🙂

I participate in quite a few challenges each week. Some I’m on the Design Team and other I just enjoy playing along. The reason I do this is because I find that they are a great place to get inspiration. I make a card or two almost every day and sometimes a little inspiration is a good thing! Today I have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge provided by Julee Tilman…

We got a new Stamp Set at Leadership that will be in the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog and I have been looking for the perfect sketch to use it with and this one fits the bill! The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock and I covered the front of the card with a piece of Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper. My strip of Tangerine Tango going down the left side is embossed with the Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The main panel is also a piece of Watercolor Wonder DSP backed with a piece of Crushed Curry and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My flower and greeting are from the set I mentioned which is called So Very Happy, the flower is stamped in Daffodil Delight and punched out with the Blossom Punch and the greeting is stamped in Tangerine Tango and cut out with my Paper Snips. Across the flower is a piece of Gumball Green that I embossed with the Needlepoint Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The greeting is adhered on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals and that completes the card. Nice and soft colors with just a pop of Tangerine and Gumball. The Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper is great, it has a nice array of colors and patterns, good for so many things. And there you have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I thank you very much for coming by to see me today. I hope you enjoyed your peek at the new stamp set and that you have a lovely Tuesday! 🙂

  1. We got 5 1/2″ of snow in NE Ohio overnight. It started about 8 p.m. and ended around 7 a.m. this morning. YUCK! So tired of winter.
Love your card….bright, springy colors help in this winter gloom!

    1. Wow! Yeah, we have definitely had our fair share of snow here! I’m tired of Winter too! Thanks! I definitely needed bright! Spring will be here soon! 🙂

  2. I’m always thrilled when SU comes up with more stamp sets that fit punches I already have. I can’t wait to see the new catalog. Great snipping job on the greeting also. In the midst of all these drab and dreary skies and unending snow it’s wonderful to get on the computer and see such “Spring” colored cards. Brings a smile to my face and gives me hope that, yes indeed, we will see cheerful flowers once again. Great job Justin (as always).

    1. Yes, me too Grace! I’m looking forward to the new Catalog too! Thanks! I do love a little fussy cutting and that one was easy! Bright and cheery is just what we needed I think! If I made you smile then I had a good day! 🙂

  3. Total agreement with Grace when new stamps are released and match up with existing punches. The new set looks great. A cheery card is exactly what I need today. Another 6 inches of white stuff overnight plus sleet and ice in NW Ohio.

    1. Thanks Lisa! It is a fun set! I think we all needed a little bright and cheery! The weather is just crazy! Soon it will be gone! Sooner rather than later please! 🙂

  4. Total agreement here too….. superbe (that’s French for superb LOL) card Justin. Got about 4-5″ more overnight, still snowing on and off (why don’t they just turn it OFF now). Wish that darn snow had not prevented me from making it to Leadership and I would have that stamp set too…. but your cheerful card helps…. Thanks.

    1. LOL! Thank you very much Louise! You got more than we did this time. Ha, yes turn it completely off please! I am still bummed about you not getting to Leadership. I’m glad my card brightened your gloomy day a bit! 🙂

  5. Hi Justin! I think all your blog readers are in agreement…we LOVE the spring-y feel to your card! It’s gorgeous! Can’t wait to see the new stamp set…thanks for the sneak peak. Oh–you were also spot on with the February Paper Pumpkin! Yay! LOVE it! We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday and it’s sunny and almost 40 degrees here today. But we’re in for more snow on Thursday because the calendar still says February! Thank you for sharing this beautiful card with us! Hope your day was a good one!

    1. Thanks Karen! I’m thought it would be a good card for today! We definitely all needed some bright! The stamp set is cute, I’ll use some more pieces of it soon. Woo hoo! Yes, the February Pumpkin is great isn’t it? I haven’t gotten mine yet because of that credit card debate, Bummer! The sun actually came out around 2:00pm today, I had forgotten what it looked like! We are to have rain and 50 degrees here on Thursday, wee! I did have a good day and hope that you did too! 🙂

  6. Hi Justin! Love the new stamp set images! Thanks for showcasing them. Will there be a punch for the crest ( or is there one already? ). Your green band matches the sketch!! And the scallops on it show up again on the embossed paper! Very creative!! Safe travels on ❄️❄️

    1. Hello Beth!
They are pretty neat aren’t they? I’m not sure if there will be but it’s pretty easy to cut out. Thanks for noticing the little details! The snow didn’t last for long, it turned to rain which I was very happy to see! 🙂

  7. Love the card, Justin! Bright and cheery is what we all need!!! I hope our weather is headed your way…it was 60 and sunny here today 🙂

  8. It IS all in the details!!! Gumball, Tang & Curry… I am loving this color combo Justin!! Bold and bright is where I want to be!!! Maybe if we all visualize pressing that off button for all this dang snow, it will work!!! Your posts are always fab with your thoughts and great descriptions of your cards, but this one really had me laughing silly!! TFS!!! 🙂

    1. Thank you Laurie! Bold and bright, warm and sunny! I am visualizing hitting the off button for the snow all the time! I’m so happy that you enjoy my posts, I enjoy having you stop by! Have a great evening! 🙂
