Pals Paper Arts 192

A very good Saturday to you! Work was nice and busy yesterday but I got a lot accomplished so that was good. Last night I ran some errands with Heather and then we went over to Kim and Brian’s. Brian was going out with the guys from the Fire House so we decided that last night would be a wine night! We just sat and talked and laughed. A very nice Friday night indeed. I do so love time with my friends, they make everything better! It was really foggy here yesterday, so much so that you really couldn’t see very far. I took the picture below from the entrance to work. There is a lot more down the street but you just couldn’t see. I think fog is sort of neat, it gives everything a little bit of a contained feeling if that makes any sense!

Today I have my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts and they have given us a sketch challenge…

PPA 192

When I saw the sketch I decided that I needed to use some of my favorite but very neglected supplies. The card starts off with a base of Summer Starfruit Card Stock and my background is a piece of Early Espresso that I embossed with the Alphabet Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Next up is a piece of Soho Subway Designer Series Paper that I flagged the bottom of. The main panel is another piece of the Soho Subway DSP backed with Island Indigo. My stamped images are all from the Hello, Lovely Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Island Indigo and backed with a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe and the squares are stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe, they are all adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A relatively simple card to put together but the embossing and DSP give it a little oomph! I think this would make a great masculine thinking of you card or even be good for a birthday! And there is my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge. I hope that your weekend is off to a great start and that you enjoyed today’s card. Thanks for visiting! 🙂
