SUO Challenges 98

WOW! What can I say! You are all AMAZING! The wonderful, kind, sweet comments that you all left yesterday made that the best Monday EVER!! I really could not hope to know a better bunch of people! You really did make my day! People at work kept asking my why I was smiling all day! I said because there are some really awesome people out there! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

So yes, my day was wonderful, despite my jobs attempts to thwart it! Work was very busy like it always is. I went to my parents for dinner and then ran to BestBuy to get mom a new iPad Air. She has the first generation one and it was well past it’s prime. I set it up and came home and crafted for a bit, the perfect end to a perfect Monday! Did you all place your orders? I did! ๐Ÿ™‚

As for the blog candy, I will choose the winner on Friday! Thanks to all 55 of you that left comments! And yes, I replied to every one! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, before I forget, here is the Holiday Carry-Over list. There are some really good ones on there, I was very happy to see that both snowflake sets and the Framelits made it! Click here to download a PDF of it so you have it handy!

One last thing, if you scroll down past the products at the ned of the post you can see the Hello Kitty card that I made for my boss to give to her niece.

Now on to today’s post which is my Design Team card for the SUO Challenges blog. This time we ask you to Stamp in the Background. That could be a background stamp or a pattern that you create with stamps. I’m sure you knew that though!

I chose to use the Work of Art Stamp Set. The card base is Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped a rainbow with the Work of Art Stamp Set using Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point and Rich Razzleberry. I backed it with a piece of Gumball Green and adhered it to the base. The greeting is from the Love You to the Moon Stamp Set and is stamped in Gumball Green and cut out with the Chalk Talk Framelits. Stampin’ Dimensionals hold it in place and that’s my card! Very simple but nice and bright and colorful! This card would cheer up anyone’s day, don’t you think?! It would also be a good card to make a bunch of and have on hand! And that’s my SUO Challenges card for our Stamping in the Background challenge. Take a little click over to the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has done and let’s see what you can do, upload your project to the gallery! Thank you so very much for coming by today. I hope you enjoyed the cards and that you have a wonderful Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. What a beautiful morning to wake up to a rainbow!! I love the bold streaks of the Work of Art set. Can’t wait for mine to arrive later this week! Your Hello Kitty card is perfect for your boss’s niece! A great job! The extra kitty bling will brighten her day too! Noticed the new In Color feathers. Need to add an extra one for Mossy Meadow! Have a great Tuesday!

    1. Why thank you Beth! The Work of Art set is growing on me. My boss said that her niece likes bling so there you have it! Yes, I did change the feathers, I thought about adding a 5th one for Mossy Meadow but I’m not sure! Enjoy your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Two great cards! I love the rainbow and congrats on a job well done on the punch art for Hello Kitty!

  3. I love Hello Kitty ! She has been around for a long time . Cute card and I noticed those colorful feathers too ! Your Work of Art card ain`t so bad either …..love all the color !

  4. I am soooooooo in love with the set Work of Art! It is going on my list of all time favorites. So versatile. Loving your card today. I think you might of made the background just for me. Last night I looked out my window to see a spectacular double rainbow! Oh my, they were so bright and vibrant! I went outside and just took it all in. Just stood there smiling in amazement. Now to yesterday’s post. I was very late looking at it. Truly delightful. So fun to look at earlier designs up to current. One can see how your style changed and evolved to what it is today. It is always a delight to see what you have to showcase daily. I can envision this little 7 year old squealing with joy. Although I’m not a punch art fan, Hello Kitty is the cutest card. Job well done.

    1. Thank you Lisa! Work of Art is definitely growing on me. Yes, then the card is just for you! Wow! A double rainbow?! Those are rare! I’m glad you enjoyed the look back, I did have fun going through the cards. It was a little trip down memory lane. I am not a punch art fan, but when my boss asked for Hello Kitty that was the only way to go! Have a great day my friend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Such a happy card! I love it! I got my order in yesterday too and Work of Art was on it. Like you at first I wasn’t sure about that set. But when you think of it as a background, it’s pretty cool.
Your ‘Hello Kitty’ card is adorable!!!
I can’t wait to see which other sets you’ve ordered and what you do with themโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ™‚
    Enjoy your day!

    1. Thank you Gerri! I wasn’t sure about the Work of Art Set but it’s growing on me! It definitely does do great backgrounds! I’m not a fan of punch art but that’s the only way to make Hello Kitty.I spent too much money but they should be here Thursday! Have a good day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. For someone who has never done punch art before you did a Fantastic Job! Love it!

  7. Good Morning Justin:

I love the rainbow card – it’s nice to have a “go to” card that can be made quickly yet be so perfect for any occasion depending on the colors chosen. There are always those times when you need a grab-and-go card and this one certainly covers that. I’ve been caught without backup cards before so this design will cover that as-I-go-Out-the-door need. LOL

I really love punch art cards because of the dimension they bring as a paper art form. Your Hello Kitty card is so perfect for a little girl. It’s a fun card that looks like it took hours to put together yet, kind of like a puzzle, once together it’s super fun. Great job with both cards today and I’m so happy you had such amazing comments yesterday.

Wishing you a Terrific Tuesday and I hope your blog will always be as much fun for you as it is for your followers.

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you! It was fun and quick to make. Definitely a good go-to card! LOL! I’ve been there too!
I am really not a fan of punch art, I don’t know why! I did have fun figuring it out. I looked and some samples and made some modifications. Yesterday was amazing! Just wow!
I appreciate your comments my friend and hope you are having a lovely day! I’m sure that the blog will bring me joy for years to come! ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Bright and vibrant! Very uplifting card. Also love the kitty card, so adorable! As for the feathers: hum…. my personal opinion is that yes you should probably have 5 feathers and change them up for In-Colors, Brights, etc. etc. like a “colors of the week or month”…. OK better get back to work right…LOL Have a super day.

    1. Thank you Louise! Even though it’s a simple card I still love it! The Kitty Card was fun! I’ll take your suggestion under consideration for the feathers! Enjoy the rest of your work! ๐Ÿ™‚
