Paper Players 206

Oh, the weekend goes by so quickly! I guess time does fly when you’re having fun! I had a nice productive day yesterday, I spent a good portion of it in the Stampin’ Galley getting some but not all of my projects finished. I managed to get four cards made yesterday and in between I did some laundry and the dishes. Not an exciting day by any means but they are good to have every once in a while. It was a beautiful day here despite the fact that they said we would have some rain, that happened last night, the best time for rain to happen. I also got to FaceTime with my cousin Tracey in England for a while. I love catching up with her and it’s so nice to see her when we talk. Modern technology, gotta love it!

It’s Monday and that means that once again it’s time for the Paper Players challenge. Before I get to today’s card I wanted to thank ann for selecting me as her pick for Cut Above in last week’s Monochromatic Color challenge. You can see the winners post HERE and my original post HERE. Now on to this week, we have a sketch…

Paper Players #206

I knew that I wanted to frame something I just wasn’t sure what and then it came to me! My card starts off with a base of Daffodil Delight Card Stock. The background is a piece of Park Lane Designer Series Paper that I backed with a piece of Blackberry Bliss. I used the Ovals Collection Framelits to cut out a piece of Soft Suede and then another piece for the frame. My image/greeting is from the Well Worded Stamp Set and is stamped once in Old Olive on Whisper White, also cut out with the Ovals Collection Framelits, and again in Blackberry Bliss and cut out with my Paper Snips. Next up are a strip of Daffodil Delight and two strips of Old Olive that I flagged the ends on. I Then adhered the frame, flower and oval to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the Well Worded Set with the sentiments tucked inside the images and the colors and patterns in the Park Lane DSP are cool and fun! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge. Thank you for dropping by and I hope that you have a nice easy Monday! 🙂
