Paper Craft Crew 106

Hey there readers! It’s Thursday and I’m hoping that my happy Wednesday carries over! LOL! I had a nice day at work yesterday because I got to run errands in the morning! I went to the Apple Store to pick up a MacBook that was dropped off for repairs, then off to Michaels to get some poster frames, I had to stop at the post office to mail out my Control Freaks swaps and see my friend. I’m glad that you enjoyed the Control Freaks Tour yesterday. I always have a lot of fun making my projects and then like I always say the best part is reading your comments! It really does make all of the effort well worth it! I’m going to sneak into the city on Saturday morning to see my friend Kim and pay a little visit to Sam Flax. I am feeling to need to use my Filofax Organiser again! Ahh… the good old days of my trusty paper organizer! I guess my addiction to paper is getting worse! LOL!

I’m a day late with my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch, I was a kind of tired Tuesday night that I haven’t felt before! I guess 8 hours of sleep in three days will do that! LOL! But I have it for you today and here is the sketch…

PCCCS106 Sketch 8-20-2014

I played around with some more new Holiday Catalog goodies! You only have one more week to wait to get your new stuff! My card uses a piece of Mossy Meadow Card Stock for the base. The background is a piece of Whisper White that I embossed with the On Point Textured Impressions Embossing Folder*. My main panel is stamped with the tree and garland from the Festival of Trees Photopolymer Stamp Set*, the tree is stamped in Mossy Meadow and the garland is heat embossed with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I backed it with Mossy Meadow. The panel behind it is a piece of paper from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack backed with a piece of Cherry Cobbler. The panels are adhered to each other with SNAIL and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used the Star Framelits to cut out a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and adhered that to the bottom right of the panels. My greeting is also from the Festival of Trees Photopolymer Stamp Set* and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a strip of Cherry Cobbler. Three enamel dots to the left of the panels completes the card. A simple fun traditional Christmas card with a little sparkle from the star and garland! There is my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Stop by the blog and take a look at what the rest of the design team has done for the sketch and enter your card in the gallery so we can see what you come up with! Thank you for taking some time out of your day to spend with me! I appreciate it! Have a super Thursday peeps! 🙂

Control Freaks August Blog Tour!

freakwelcome2013

Hello there and welcome to this month’s Control Freaks Blog Tour! This time around the theme is simple and elegant! If you are following along on the tour that means that you have arrived here from the fabulous Debbie Henderson’s blog! Always a treat to see what she has for us! I have two cards for you both of which you would have no trouble mailing! Let’s get to them shall we?!

Up first is a simple card that uses a fun color combo. The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock, cut to 3 3/4″ wide, and I used the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set to stamp three of the butterflies, two in Pistachio Pudding and one in Wisteria Wonder at the bottom. A strip of Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper goes across the lower half and is flagged on the right. A strip of Back to Black Designer Series Paper goes on top of that to the left. Three more butterflies are stamped, two in Wisteria Wonder and one in Pistachio Pudding. They are punched out with Elegant Butterfly Punch and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My greeting is from the And Many More Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black just under the banner. A simple elegant card that would make a nice sympathy or encouragement card.

Control Freaks August Tour Card 2-WM

The second card uses one of my favorite embossing folders but on a color I don’t think I have used it on before. My card base is Whisper White Card Stock. The background is a piece of Cherry Cobbler that I embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to cover the whole card front. I took a piece of Sahara Sand and stamped the flower from the Bloom With Hope Host Stamp Set in Sahara Sand randomly to create a subtle background. Next I stamped the same flower in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. Some Paper Snips cut it and the stem out which is colored in with my Old Olive Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. The stem is adhered with Multi-Purpose Glue and the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next up I tied a piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine in a bow around the background and over the stem. My greeting is from the Something to Say Stamp Set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce the circle and them mounted it to the background with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the base to the card with some more Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the depth that the Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers give the flower, it almost looks 3D, and the wood embossed Cherry Cobbler is pretty neat!

Control Freaks August Tour Card 1-WM

And there my two simple and elegant card for this month’s Control Freaks Tour! I really hope that you enjoyed and are inspired by them! Next up for your viewing pleasure is Dawn Olchefske! Enjoy the rest of the tour and if you started here with me make sure that you go all the way around! Thank you so much for coming by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Mojo 359

So how was Monday for you? Mine was rather productive! I love a productive day especially when it’s a Monday. The weather was little warmer here today but still very nice. Work was not too bad, again, pretty good for a Monday. I came home and had dinner with the ‘rents and then crafted for quite some time. I had mentioned that I have a bunch of projects to make and I put a pretty good dent in them last night. Makes me very happy! Tonight I will finish off the projects and then maybe tomorrow I will get to relax for a bit. That would be very nice indeed!

It’s Tuesday and that means there are some new Stampin’ Up! specials. Here are this week’s deals…

One of my projects from last night was my Mojo Monday sketch challenge card. Here is the sketch the lovely Julee Tilman has given us…

Mojo359

I used some unexpected DSP for my background. I love it when I look through a pack and get a nice surprise! My card starts off with a base of Smoky Slate Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper from the Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper Pack*. It sort of reminds me of “Bewitched”! Next up is a piece of Basic Gray that is adhered somewhat in the middle of the card. My tag is a piece of Whisper White and I cut the top with the Angled Tag Topper Punch. I used a piece of Smoky Slate and the punch again along with the 1/2″ Circle punch to create the reinforcement. A piece of Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine is tied through the top and some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. I used the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out a piece of Bermuda Bay for the frame and a piece of Smoky Slate for the backing. Inside are three feathers from the Four Feathers Stamp Set* that I heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum Card stock and cut out with the Feathers Framelits*. I adhered them under the piece of Silver Foil Sheet that I flagged on both ends. A piece of Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon is slipped under the circle and adhered to the inside of the card with Sticky Strip. My greeting is from the A Happy Hooray Stamp Set and is stamped in Bermuda Bay and punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. I love the colors together and the sheep of DSP from the Motley Monsters DSP is just so cool! So there is my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge, I hope that you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for hanging with me for a bit today, I always appreciate our time together! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Pals Paper Arts 215 & Paper Players 209

Hello my friends and welcome to the start of another week. I had a nice weekend but not a very productive one. I was having a hard time focusing on one thing, a little ADD I guess. I will have to seriously concentrate tonight and tomorrow night to get all my stuff done. Happens sometimes, what can ya do?! It was a lovely day here yesterday, the weather has been particularly lovely lately. I wish it would stay like this all year round. I spent some time with Heather and we ran some errands and baked a banana bread that was delicious! She is an excellent baker and makes it look so easy. I make some good chocolate chip cookies but that’s about it! LOL! I also got my label printer, it was on sale for $39 at Staples, let’s see if that makes me send out more cards or just print more labels! LOL!

I have a double post today but just one card, I rarely combine challenges but I was inspired by the colors for the Pals Paper Arts challenge and thought they worked well for the Paper Players too! Here are the two challenges…

PPA 215

Paper Players #209

The colors for the Pals Paper Arts has a little bit of a retro vibe and the Paper Players is just fun. My card starts off with a base of Pear Pizzaz Card Stock. I used the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out a piece of Strawberry Slush and stamped the Dotty Angles Stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on the right side. My tag is a piece of Basic Black, I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the Project Life Corner Rounder to make it. A piece of Basic Black Baker’s Twine is tied to the top. The cupcake and greeting are from the Cupcake Party Stamp Set. My cupcake is stamped in Pear Pizzaz and Strawberry Slush, the candle is markered with Pear Pizzaz and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Markers. I used the Cupcake Builder Punch to punch them all out and Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere them to the tag. The greeting is heat embossed in more White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the tag is adhered to the card with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few 2013-2015 In-Color Sequins are randomly placed and some Crystal Effects keeps the ends of the baker’s twine in place. I love the black tag and how it makes all of the elements pop! There is my one card for two challenges, the Pals Paper Arts colts and the Paper Players theme. I hope that you enjoyed it and I thank you very much for your visit today. Enjoy your Monday people, it makes it go faster! 🙂

Creation Station Tour – Kinda Eclectic

creation station header

Hello everyone! I had a very crafty day yesterday and the weather here was just perfect, cool but sunny! Today it’s time for the Creation Station Blog Tour! I’m hoping that you have been along for our previous ones! If this is your first time here welcome and I hope that you find inspiration in the projects. This time around we are featuring the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set. If you are following the tour you have arrived here from Jennifer Downey’s blog, pretty awesome projects huh?! I have three projects for you today. I took some pictures of them so you could follow along!

The first project that I have for you today is a relatively quick but really cute tiny gift box. We have new Tiny Treat Boxes in the upcoming Holiday Catalog and they come 25 to a pack, they are about 2″ square. I used the featured stamp set Kinda Eclectic to stamp the dots around the top on the sides in Night of Navy. Along the bottom is some Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper that I tore (I have a difficult time doing that! LOL!) and adhered with some Fast Fuze Adhesive.

Creation Station Tour 8 - Pic 1

I adhered two of the butterflies stamped in Blackberry Bliss and punched out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch on opposite sides. On top is a piece of burlap that I had from long ago, I cut it out with the “Vintage” Circles #2 Bigz Die and frayed the edges. Two of the leaves are stamped in Always Artichoke and cut out with my Paper Snips. On top of that is a flower from the Choose Happiness Stamp Set stamped in Lost Lagoon and cut out with my Paper Snips too. I adhered the burlap with Sticky Strip, the leaves with Glue Dots and the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals. In the middle is one of the new Gold Basic Metallic Buttons threaded with some Linen Thread and adhered to the middle of the flower with a Glue Dot. A fun little box that would be perfect for a little piece of candy or maybe some bling!

Creation Station Tour 8 - Box 1

Creation Station Tour 8 - Box 3

Creation Station Tour 8 - Box 2

Next up is one of our Kraft Grid Journals that I decorated with some fun stuff! I saw a flower in this month’s Stampin’ Success (our Demonstrator Magazine) and had to make one! The flower is made by coating one side of the 1 1/4″ Burlap Ribbon with Mod-Podge and letting it dry completely. When it’s dry you use one of the Circles Collection Framelits to cut them out. I found that they didn’t cut all the way through but my Paper Snips finished the job. I love the way they stay nice and crisp along the edges thanks to the Mod-Podge!.

Creation Station Tour 8 - Pic 2

I put a slit halfway up the ones that go around and the hot glued them all together. In the middle I took a Vintage Faceted Button and tied some Linen Thread in a bow and adhered the smallest of the Gold Basic Metallic Buttons in the center with a Glue Dot.

Creation Station Tour 8 - Pic 4

The leaves are cut from the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Flower Fair Framelits.

Creation Station Tour 8 - Pic 3

My three butterflies are form the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set and are stamped in Tangelo Twist, the large ones are punched out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the smaller one with Bitty Butterfly Punch. I used the new Handheld Stapler to make the bodies and then adhered them to the journal with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My notes stamp is from a Paper Pumpkin Kit and is stamped in Mossy Meadow.

Creation Station Tour 8 - Pic 5

I love that flower, it’s a fun different embellishment and I think the journal will go in a shadow box and make a nice home decor piece for someone special!

Creation Station Tour 8 - Journal

Creation Station Tour 8 - Burlap Flower

Lastly I have a quick card. The base of it is Kraft Card Stock and the background is a piece of Blackberry Bliss. I heat embossed the greeting from Kinda Eclectic in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then adhered the background to the base with Fast Fuze, it was a little warped after the heat embossing and I wanted to make sure that it would stay flat! The sunburst and the leaves are from the same set, the leaves are stamped in Always Artichoke and the sunburst in Crushed Curry. I cut them both out with my Paper Snips. In the middle of the sunburst is a piece of Gold Foil Sheet that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. The sunburst is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the leaves with Multi-Purpose Glue. My little gold sequins are made using a die from My Favorite Things Die-namics and Gold Foil Sheet, I saw the die and just couldn’t resist, I can make sequins from any card stock now! I love the bold background with the fussy cut sun, makes it stand out nicely!

Three projects for the Creation Station Blog Tour featuring the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set! It’s one of my favorites sets as I have mentioned just a few times before! LOL! I hope that you are inspired and that you will give making the burlap flower a try. Your next stop on the tour is Jen Arkfeld! Her projects are always fantastic! Thank you for coming by to see my projects and enjoy the rest of the tour and have a wonderful Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 149

How was your Friday? Mine was pretty good, I was out of the office running errands for about three hours yesterday! I also got a lot accomplished when I was there before and after so all in all a pretty good day. I got a new light for the Stampin’ Galley, just a simple fluorescent stick but it gives me enough light and doesn’t get in the way. I’m plotting my organization for this weekend too. I need to get all of the current goodies in the place where all of the Vintage goodies are now. I would also like to unpack the last few boxes that I have. There are a good amount of cards that I need to make and actually send out this weekend! The sending part is key right?! I think I need one of those fancy label printers, technology always makes me more productive, especially when it’s a new toy! LOL!

For your consideration today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge from Rita…

Freshly Made Sketches #149

A super simple sketch! And apparently I have lost my mind because I saw a shaker card again! No, I didn’t make one! LOL! My card base for today is Daffodil Delight Card Stock. The fun background is a piece of Basic Black that I embossed with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder*. I used one of the eyeshadow applicators to “brush” some White Craft Ink on the embossed stars and pulled some next to them to give them a little movement. The center panel is a piece of Smoky Slate that is backed with Daffodil Delight. All of the images and greeting are from the Holiday Home Stamp Set*. The greeting is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black along with the house and ghosts. The house is stamped on Sahara Sand and is colored in with Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers then cut out with the Homemade Holiday Framelits*.. The ghosts are stamped on Whisper White and cut out with my Paper Snips. I used Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight to stamp the rest of the images. My house and Ghosts are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I placed two strips of Pumpkin Pie on the background before adhering the panel to the card with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’m really loving the little houses and “scenes” that you can create with the rest of the stamps in the set! And that’s my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge, I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, thank you for sharing some of your time with me today! Have a super Saturday everyone! 🙂

Fab Friday 48

T G I F!! T G I F!! T G I F!! Can you tell that I’m excited that it’s Friday?!?! I’m not going to lie, I’m over work this week, too many things that shouldn’t be given to me to do are given to me. I have a few errands to run today, like the Apple Store so that will make the day much better! It was a gorgeous day here yesterday in the high 70’s and a slight breeze with plenty of sun! It sure doesn’t feel like August and I hope that this doesn’t mean that there will be another bad winter! But I’m really enjoying it at the moment! Tonight I have some crafty things to do and at some point over the weekend I would like to get the Stampin’ Galley a little more organized! We’ll see how that goes! LOL! What do they say about the best laid plans?! What’s on for the weekend for you people?!

Today is a very special Friday not just because it a Fab Friday but it’s a special Fab Friday! Mindy had her little baby boy Ian!! We decided to surprise her with a little change of plans! We all made baby card this time! Congratulations Mindy and Jon!! He’s adorable!!

Fab Friday Baby-001

I went with a nice simple card that would be easy to duplicate, I actually know quite a few people that have had babies lately. Little Daniel turned nine months old yesterday and is crawling and sitting up already! They do grow up so fast! My card begins with a base of Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock. The background is a piece of Lullaby Designer Series Paper, I punched the left side with the Scallop Edge Border Punch and adhered it to the base with SNAIL. My large flag is a piece of Hello Honey and I used the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out the circle in the middle. Across the top is a piece of Coastal Cabana that I trimmed with the Small Scallop Stampin’ Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade and adhered it to the flag with Multi-Purpose Glue. Before adhering it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals I stamped my sentiment from the Dear Heart Photopolymer Stamp Set in Baked Brown Sugar. The sweet onesie is from the Something for Baby Stamp Set and is stamped in Pistachio Pudding and cut out with the Baby’s First Framelits. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold that in place too. Like I said simple but I love the layout and the colors! I really hope that Mindy and you both enjoyed the card and that Mindy was surprised! That’s my card for this week’s Welcome Ian challenge for Fab Friday. Head on over to the blog to see what my teammates have done and let’s see what you can come up with! Thank you for coming by to see me today, I hope that you all have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Mojo 358

Happy Thursday! It rained a lot here on Tuesday night, some places got 13 inches in a few hours. There was a lot of flooding, I had a little puddle in front of my door inside but our poor friend Fred had a full 2 inches of water in his apartment. So many of the roads were flooded that some of my co-workers sat in their cars for over 3 hours waiting for them to get things moving. The news said that it was worse than Hurricane Sandy as far as the rain went. Weather is just really odd around here lately. Around 1:00PM the skies cleared up and the sun was out for the rest of the day. Hopefully it helped dry up some of the harder hit areas.

Now as for Andrew’s little post yesterday, I knew which one of the choices would be the most popular! LOL! I will tell you that the knee feels much better today, I can actually touch it. But if it’s not much better by Friday you may get your wish! LOL! Stay tuned!

I got a nice surprise in the mail today! When I was at Convention I went to Starbucks with my friend Eva and while we were there I bought a Salt Lake City mug. She asked if I collected them and I said yes. Well guess what my surprise was?! Here it is…

Eva Portland Sbux Mug

How cool is that?!?! Thank you so much Eva!! That was so sweet of you! I’ll bet that my coffee will taste much better tomorrow morning having it from my new Starbucks mug!! I just noticed that the hands on the Catalog look like they are holding the mug! Pretty neat! 🙂

Now off we go to today’s card which is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch from the lovely Julee Tilman…

Mojo358

I don’t know what it is with me and shaker cards lately! I hadn’t made one in forever and now I have made about five! LOL! I did use some new goodies from the Holiday Catalog too, loving all of it! The base for today’s card is Smoky Slate Card Stock. For my background I used a piece of paper from the All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper* Pack along the bottom and across the seam is a piece of the All is Calm Designer Washi Tape*. They are adhered to a piece of Lost Lagoon and that is adhered to the base with SNAIL. The frame is cut out from a piece of Smoky Slate, the window with the Squares Collection Framelits. I adhered a piece of Window Sheet behind the square and behind that is another piece of paper from the All is Calm DSP Pack. Before I put the shaker together I added some of the snowflakes from the Frosted Sequins*. The snowflake on the window, the smaller one and the snow are all cut out with the Snowflake Card Thinlits* from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. A piece of Lost Lagoon is flagged on both ends and serves as the backdrop for the small snowflake and snow. A few Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the shaker. I really love Lost Lagoon, I think it is my favorite blue ever and what better paper for snow that the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer?! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch and that you are not sick of the shaker cards just yet! Thank you so much for sharing in my day today! I love having you visit and your comments are always a highlight of my day! I wish you all a happy Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 105 & Bonus!

Ahh yes… another fun filled day here on Long Island! Work was just the way I imagined it, nuts! Last minute event planning is always my favorite! NOT! It wasn’t a bad day weather wise, overcast and a bit windy but it didn’t rain until late last night and boy did it rain! I ran out to do a few errands and guess what I saw…

Rainbow

A perfect little rainbow! Well, if I could crop out the power lines and the building it would be perfect! LOL! So neat though! That brightened up my evening a bit! Before I get started with today’s post, Andrew stopped by and has a quick word for you all…

Hi there JK Cards readers! I was over at Justin’s house last night and he was telling me about how he hit his knee again. Of course, he then told me how you were all concerned about him and were badgering him to get to a doctor. I gave him two choices:

1) He can continue to not go to the doctor. If he does this and ends up hurting his knee further, I told him I will visit him in the hospital with chocolates, flowers, and balloons. Right after I give him all his sentiments, I’ll look him in the eyes and say, “I told you so!” (Don’t worry, I’ll mention that you all told him as well. LOL!)

2) If by the next time I come over he hasn’t gone to the doctor, I’m gonna slip a fun little pill into a cup of his coffee, throw him over my shoulder, carry him to the car, take him to the doctor for an evaluation, and get him back home before he’ll even remember what happened!

Let Justin know in the comments which option you think is better. Have a great day everyone! 🙂

He’s the best friend anyone could ever want, isn’t he?!

I didn’t get to post Stampin’ Up!’s weekly deals yesterday so here they are…

Middle of the week, yes, it’s time for some Paper Craft Crew Design Team sketch goodness! Here is this week’s…

PCCCS105 8-13-2014

I stayed very true to the sketch and my inspiration was the cover of the annual catalog! The base of the card is Pistachio Pudding Card Stock. My background is a piece of Whisper White and I punched the bottom edge with the Confetti Stars Border Punch*. A strip of Maritime Designer Series Paper comes across from the left. The panel in the middle is a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe that I embossed with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder*. My two stars are cut out with the Stars Framelits. The back one is a piece of Vellum Card Stock that I bordered with a piece of Pistachio Pudding, the one in front is a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. They are both adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My greeting is from the And Many More Stamp Set and is stamped in Pistachio Pudding, I flagged the end and tucked it under the top star. Over in the upper right corner are three star sequins from the 2013-2015 In-Color Sequin Assortment. They each have a Basic Jewel Rhinestone in the middle. I love the soft colors and abundance of star goodness on the card and hope that you do too! And there you have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Head on over to the BLOG and see what the other DT members have done for the sketch and get out your crafty tools and make one for us to see by entering it in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see what I’ve been doing, I hope that you have a good Wednesday! Oh, you thought I forgot about the birthday card?!?! Nope, its at the end of the post, supplies and all! 🙂

SUO Challenges 103

Oh, it was a typical Monday, busy day at work, nothing exciting when I got home. I did manage to smack my knee again today and my friend Francis made me fill out an accident report and told me that I need to go and have it looked at. Hmm… where will I find the time to do that?! Not to whine but it really does bother me and I think there is a good chance that I broke something. Does the ER make house calls?! I will give it a few more days and then I if it still bothers me I may have to break down and get it checked. Can you tell that I never go to the Dr.?! I did have some crafty time last night and I made a card for my Sister-in-law, it’s her Birthday today! Happy Birthday Erika! I’ll share the card that I made her tomorrow. 🙂

Stampin’ Up! released a really cool new Photopolymer Stamp Set called Yee Haw! It has a great western feel to it! You can see it below or click HERE to download a PDF of the flyer.

My little post that I have for you today is for the SUO Challenges blog. This time around we ask you to think geometrical. My card is simple but it I do love the one element that I used on it. I think it gives a lot of oomph to it! My card begins with a base of Hello Honey Card Stock. For the background I cut a piece of adhesive cork sheet with the Hexagon Hive Thinlit and adhered it to the base. A few black ones cut out with the same die are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My greeting is from the Hexagon Hello Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Very Vanilla pieces that are also cut out with the Hexagon Hive Thinlit. Some more Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere them to the cork. I absolutely love the depth that the cork give the hive, it almost looks like little bees could crawl right in there! Like I said a simple card but the cork is so cool! That’s my card for the SUO Challenges Design Team and I hope that you enjoyed it. Stop by the blog to see what my fellow design team members have done and enter your card in the gallery! I hope that you all have a good Tuesday and as always, thank you so much for visiting with me today! 🙂
