Paper Craft Crew 114 & Daniel

Yesterday was another good day, I got to go on another errand! I do so love to escape from the office, even if it’s just for a little bit. Daniel was over for dinner yesterday too! My little buddy! He was 11 months old yesterday too! I can’t believe how fast that has gone. I also registered for Leadership in Orlando and booked my flight! Woo hoo! Sunny Florida in January! I’m going to meet my friend Maggie down there a few days early so we can do some fun theme park stuff! I can’t wait! I did remember to take a picture of little Daniel, excuse my weird face, I was trying to get him to look at the camera!

Me & Daniel 10-14-2014

Today is, can you believe it, Wednesday already! That means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS114 Sketch 10-15-2014

I was missing Lost Lagoon so I decided that would be one of my colors for today’s card. The card starts off with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. The background is a piece of Lost Lagoon that I embossed with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered over to the right. My frame is a piece of Whisper White and I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to create it. The tree is from the Festival of Trees Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Lost Lagoon. I heat embossed the ornaments and star in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder along with some snowflakes from the Holiday Home Photopolymer Stamp Set and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the frame. The little stars are Silver Foil Sheet and Lost Lagoon, two punched out with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and the larger one is cut out with the Stars Framelits. My greeting is also from the Holiday Home Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The Bitty Banner Punch, some more Silver Foil Sheet and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones Complete the card. I love the shine of the silver with the Lost Lagoon and White. Another fun non-traditional Christmas card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Take a minute to stop by the BLOG to see what the rest of my fellow design team members have done with the sketch. Thanks for spending some time with me today, I appreciate your visit. Have a wonderful Wednesday peeps! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin!
Your nephew is so stinkin’ cute!
Love what you did with the sketch. Love the embossing (heat and dry). Lagoon is my favorite color. I’m using it on my Christmas cards this year. In fact I am going on a ‘crafting weekend’ this weekend with some friends to the Poconos. One of them owns a cabin on a lake and we make this an annual trip. I’m planning on making my Christmas cards and even addressing them. Wish me luck… 🙂

    1. Hello Gerri!
Thanks, he really is adorable! Love him to bits!
Thank you! I am slightly addicted to heat embossing, I had to order a Versa-Mark refill! Lost Lagoon is definitely my favorite color too! It’s perfect for Christmas or anything else! Ooh, your crafting weekend sounds like so much fun! I wish you lots of luck!! Have a wonderful time! 🙂

  2. Justin,
I LOVE this card! Great job! I thought of you last night as I was watching Jimmy Fallon when Sam Smith came out to sing!!! I remembered how much you like him. Guess what album I’m going to buy?! 🙂 Have a great rest of your day!

    1. Thanks very much Kathy! I was watching Sam Smith! I stayed up just to see him! Yeah!! His album is just amazing! You will love it! I hope that you had an excellent day! 🙂

  3. Hi Justin,
Wow! You did it again. Fabulous. Awesome card! I too really like this color, and it doesn’t look bad at all for a Christmas card. Times have changed, you don’t have to stay traditional any more. Anything goes.
Did your brother move to New York? Just curious, cause it seems you get to see your nephew quite a bit. Which is a good thing, they do grow fast. It seems the older you get the quicker the years go. Not to mention, you can watch him grow.
Soon time to go to sleep, so you enjoy the rest of your evening. Chat with you later. Take care! Hugs 🙂 Donna

    1. Hello Donna!
Thanks very much! I love the colors, the Lost Lagoon and Silver are just great together! I’m happy to hear you say that the non-tradtional colors are a good thing, I love them for Christmas! Yes, my brother did move back to NY, his job moved him back here. It’s great because we get to see Daniel much more now. I needed to be in bed about an hour ago but that didn’t happen! LOL! Have a nice sleep! Hugs to you too! 🙂

  4. Lost Lagoon is my favorite color. Put embossed stars on top of that fantastic!, love the card.

  5. Love, love, love your card!! But of course, I love all of your cards. Yea for you going to Leadership!! I hope to see you there. I am staying a few extra days and one of my girlfriends and my daughter are flying in so we can go to Disney World. I’ve never been and this is something I am looking forward to. I really do hope to run in to you at Leadership for a hug and a picture.

    1. Thank you very much Sandy! You make me smile! If you are going we will make sure that we see each other at Leadership! I’m looking forward to meeting up with my friend Maggie early! I’ll have a hug waiting for you! 🙂

    1. Thanks Nola! He is just a little cutie pie!! He has gotten so big, he’ll be walking in no time, that’s when the trouble starts! LOL! Looking forward to seeing you at Leadership! 🙂
