Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope that you will be spending the day with family and friends and enjoying good food and lots of laughter! I’m going to go over to my parents for dinner and I have to take my friend Chantal to the airport. She is off to Paris to meet up with friends and see her family, I’ll admit that I’m a bit jealous! I told her that the next time I give her a ride to the airport I would appreciate a ride on the plane with her! LOL! Yesterday I got out of work a whopping 30 minutes early! I stopped by to see Heather on my way home and then when I got home Andrew was here! I always love a little surprise visit! He left around 6:30 and I went and ate some dinner and then ran to Target with Taylor. We came back and watched a movie and then I made my card for today. I slept in this morning, later than I wanted to but again the bed was so cozy! LOL!
I have a nice simple card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge from Jen B….
I began today’s card with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and adhered a piece of Kraft Card Stock with some Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine wrapped around it and tied in a bow to cover the entire front of the base. My panel in the middle is another piece of Kraft that I heat embossed with the dots from the Dotty Angles Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and backed it with a piece of Cherry Cobbler. I die cut the noel three times and adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose glue and pressed them into my Versa-Mark Pad, then I coated them with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it. I repeated the process one more time to give it a little extra shine and adhered it to the card with more Multi-Purpose Glue. I really do love that Kraft Card Stock and the built up noel with the clear embossing gives it a very nice look! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
