Paper Players 222

My three day weekend actually did feel like a three day weekend so I won’t even complain that it’s Monday. I managed to get some stuff done for a change. I also took a trip out to see my friend Renee for a little Curvy Keepsake demo. After dinner I took a nice long ride in the car and stopped at the airport for a little bit. It didn’t have the desired effect, actually quite the opposite, but it needed to be done. Work is always fun after a day off so I’m not looking forward to my email when I get in! How was your weekend?

Monday and yes, it’s time for this week’s Paper Players challenge from Ann…

Paper Players #222

Clean and simple thanks. I decided that it was bout time that I actually used the Snowflake Card Thinlit, the card part that is. The card is cut from a piece of Pool Party Card Stock. I stamped the image from the Letterpress Winter Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon on the flip part of the card. Some Silver Glimmer Paper is used to cut out the large snowflake, two smaller ones and the “snow”. I used Multi-Purpose Glue to adhere them all to the card and belly band. The thank you is also from the same set and is heat embossed in Pool Party Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A super simple thank you card that will work well for all of those presents that you will receive over the holidays! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players CAS Thank You challenge from Ann. Thanks for coming by today and I hope that you all have a great Monday! 🙂

  2. Good Morning Justin
This is a gorgeous card! These colors just work so well together. I have got to get to work on my Christmas cards! I have not made one yet. I think this week I will have my own stamp a stack.
Great way to start the week- thanks!

    1. Good morning Marty!
Thank you! I love Lost Lagoon and Pool Party! I need to get my cards made too! Your own Stamp-A-Stack sounds like a great idea! Good luck! 🙂

  3. Snow…. is exactly what we are having this morning! Will make for a slow morning drive. Beautiful colors together and love all the glimmer accents. As long as you are not saying “Thank You” for the snow! Lol… Great belly band. Have a great week Justin. Cheers.

    1. Ugh! Sorry Louise but better you than me! Thank you! And no never for the snow!! Be careful and have a great day! 🙂

  4. Thanks for your reply yesterday. I am glad you feel comfortable with us to share your feelings. I feel we know you and I am here for you. Now on to a new week without melancholia, I hope!
I absolutely love your card today!!! I have not used Lost Lagoon yet, but I am now loving it, especially mixed with the silver. I have been invited to my former stamp club and this thinlit and stamp set are on my order list. You certainly are an inspiration. Good luck with all the emails. Nancy B

    1. I do feel comfortable sharing my feelings with you Nancy. I feel that I know you too and I appreciate you taking the time to let me know that you are there for me. I am still not feeling great but better and that’s good. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the card! I needed to use the flip card part! I love that I get to inspire you! I hope that you had a good day! 🙂

  5. Hi Justin and a very happy Monday to you. Hope the emails aren’t too bad…I remember those days. 😉 We all go through those ups and downs, it’s just a part of life, right? I’ve been having a rough time here lately also. I’ll share that with you some other time. That’s why my comments have been somewhat sporadic. But I know there are brighter days ahead and I have so much to be grateful for. Now on to your beautiful creation! I love the lost lagoon for wintery-themed cards! I almost forgot that I have this die…I need to bust that out and use it! Love the glimmer paper and the embossing you did. Such a pretty card. We are in the deep-freeze here and got a few inches of snow over the weekend. Seems too early for that in my book. Have a great day Justin and thanks for sharing not only your creations but your thoughts and feelings as well. 🙂

    1. Hello Karen!
The emails could have been worse, I got through them all so that was good. Yes, we do all go through ups and downs. I’m sorry to hear that you are having a rough time. Yes, brighter days are ahead, I hold on to hope that everything will work out. I’m happy that you like the card! We need a simple card that looks a little bit more than it is every once in a while! It is definitely way too early for snow! Feel free to keep that over by you please! Thank you for being there! It means a lot! 🙂

  6. Justin, you may be having that Autumnal Change Syndrome (I don`t think that`s the real term ) It affects some people due to the changes in the Fall with the “Blues”.
I like this card and thank you for the Belly Band idea …because these Flip Cards won`t stay closed ! Like those colors too !

    1. I wish it were that simple Sonny, but the shorter days aren’t helping. The flip cards definitely need belly band, they don’t want to stay closed at all! The blues are my favorite and not just because of my mood. 🙂

  7. You made me laugh this morning Justin with that beautiful card! 🙂 My friends call me “the Snow Queen” because I love winter. When I was younger I used to ski and snowmobile but those days are over however, I still relish the beauty of the pine trees drooping with snow. Anyway – you also know I love glitter so it looks like that card was made especially for me – “Snow – thank you” or “Thank You Snow”. LOL Get it? Love the colors, love the card, love the glitter. What a great way to start the week. Thank YOU Justin!

    1. Yay! I love when I get to make you laugh! Yes, I do know your nickname and I did think of you when I choose the “snow” for the top of the card! I on the other hand am not fond of snow! LOL! Yes, it was made for you! Thank you Grace! Hugs! 🙂

  8. Love this card, Justin! The blue and blue is beautiful especially with the addition of glittery snowflakes. As for the snow, I will say thank you please for staying away!

  9. simple and pretty, I love the colours, so wintery and icy. Must tell you how much I enjoy your props next to your cards, brings it all together. Have a happy week my friend!

    1. Thank you Lynne! I love the blues for the Holidays, they are wintry and icy! I love putting together the scenes, glad you are enjoying them too! Happy week to you too! 🙂

  10. Hey Justin, I will be different and say things are heating up down here in Australia, it has never snowed where I live, EVER! We are in for a really hot Christmas, could be 110 degrees Fahrenheit or more. The snow is beautiful to look at but probably a real pain to live with! Your card is awesome, I love how silver glimmer paper can bring a card to life! I was also going to say that you could be an interior designer with the settings you create for your cards! Very clever 🙂 have a great day Justin, Cheers, Kelly xx

    1. I will say that I would like to be there with you then Kelly! It is going to get very cold here for the rest of the week. I wish I could say that the only place I have seen snow is on TV! Send some heat my way please! I’m happy that you like the cards and the scenes! I have so much fun picking out what will go with the cards! I hope that your Monday was good! 🙂

  11. Perfect day for this card! We got a day off school, and even tho my fingers felt frost bitten after cleaning off the car and driveway, I still looked around and thought, “This is so incredibly beautiful!” Now, Justin, a word: anytime you want to vent about N-E-THING, you have at it, my friend. We don’t follow you just to ogle your amazing cards! You’ve let us into your life, take pix of the big city for us poor deprived Mid-westerners, take us to birthday parties, etc. You have us to listen and we will be here for you Thanx for all you give!

    1. Oh Georgie, a snow day already?! It’s too early for that! Yes, snow pretty as long I am only seeing it and not in it! I am grateful to have all of you to “vent” to! Thank you for being there for me! XO 🙂

  12. I just love pool party..looks so awesome for snowflakes, too. I love the bits of silver..adds the perfect touch. Thanks for playing along at The Paper Players this week!

  13. Good evening Justin,
My, it has been awhile! Keeping yourself really busy these last couple of weeks. Daniels party looked fantastic. Your cards are awesome as always. Especially todays. Love everything the glitter, colors, even the style. I have to agree with Karen. We all have our days, but somehow we seem to manage, and before you know it, we’re right back on track. However, sometimes it takes some of us a little longer to get on the rail. I am the perfect example. I will definitely keep you in my prayers. You are such a wonderful guy with a great personality, lots of talent and a ton of friends. Nothing will keep you down and out, just wait and see. Well, you’ve heard enough of me blah, blah, blahing. Take care and stay safe. Hugs, Donna 🙂

    1. Hello Donna!
Yes, it has been way too long! I am always busy as you know! The party was great! Thank you! I’m glad that you are all caught up! Yes, I am having those days. We do all get them but I want them to be gone. There is only one thing that will do that and I’m patiently waiting. Thank you for thinking of me and your kinds words. They bring a smile to my face. I hope that you are well! Hugs! 🙂

  14. Good evening Justin,

You’ll be out of your funk in no time. We appreciate you! Take care and stay safe. Hugs, Donna 🙂

  15. I love the blues and silver you’ve used on this card, always a favourite. I haven’t been a big fan of the flip cards, maybe it is because they don’t close, but that belly band looks so smart. I have to say that I like the props you used too.And by the way, I’m in Australia also, and looking forward to a warm/hot Christmas!

    1. Thank you Rachel! I am a big fan of blues, especially for the Holidays! The belly band is a must for flip card, you are right, they don’t stay closed. I’m so glad that so many of you enjoy the props in the pictures. I would definitely rather be with you in Oz, it’s freezing here today! 🙂

    1. LOL! Again, no worries! Life gets in the way for all of us! Thank you very much! The flip cards need the band! Have great night! 🙂

  16. What a gorgeous card Justin – I love your card in the blues with just the right amount of silver glimmer. A perfect post-Christmas thank you – that is so organised of you lol! Thanks for playing along with our challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
