It was a rainy day here yesterday all day. We had a movie screening at work for Kings Park, a documentary on the mental institution done by filmmaker Lucy Winer. It was quite interesting and she was a very nice person. You can find out a little bit more about the film HERE. I left work a little early to go and meet up with my friend Sandy so we could drive to Trenton, NJ for the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Catalog Reveal. We stopped at a Hobby Lobby on the way, Sandy had never been to one, and we had some SmashBurger for dinner, YUM! The new Catalogs have some really great things in them that you are going to love! I’ll be doing a pre-order on Friday and will hopefully have some new stuff to show you next week! We did get a new Stamp Set and I will try and make a sample using that tomorrow! I got to see my friend Bonnie from the Unite and Excite event. I also got to meet my “blog” friend Donna! Here is a little selfie of us…

Today I have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…
I decided that I wanted to use some colors that I would never normally use. You will have to indulge me a little today! LOL! The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut out most of the pieces for the card. The background is a piece of Cherry Cobbler that covers the entire card Front. Next up is a piece of Elegant Eggplant on the left and some Crushed Curry on the right. Another piece of Cherry Cobbler adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals is on top of that. My greeting is from the Christmas Bliss Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Crushed Curry. A frame of Elegant Eggplant goes around it and more Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the Cherry Cobbler panel. A very jewel toned card and not colors that I would normally use, but we all need to step outside of our comfort zones every once in a while right?!
