And it rained and was windy all day just like they said it would be! We got our Nor-Easter but again, at least it wasn’t snow! There was some flooding and a few tree limbs down here and there but not too bad. Work promises to be quite busy for the next few weeks, they do like to leave everything until the last possible second which makes me happy on a level that I am unable to describe! LOL! Last night I got to see little Daniel, his head is healing nicely and just for fun he has added another bruise right in the middle. We need to work on actually looking where we are going next! I got my 23 lb. box of pre-order goodies from Stampin’ Up! yesterday so I immediately had to play as soon as I got home! I did make a card and I will give you a little peek at it but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see the whole thing! Here it is…
It uses the new Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set and Butterfly Thinlits. I love the elements in the set and I can see that it will become a favorite! This was one of those times that I knew exactly what I was going to use! The base of the card is Basic Black Card Stock. For the background I embossed a piece of Real Red with the Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the top and the bottom is a piece of paper from the Flashback Designer Series Paper Pack. I adhered a piece of Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon across the middle to hide the seam and then adhered the background to the card with SNAIL. My greeting is from the From My Heart Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits. I adhered two flagged pieces, one Basic Black and the other Lost Lagoon behind it and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The 2 is from the Postage Due Stamp Set and is stamped in Lost Lagoon and punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch. To complete the card I adhered one of the small Silver Basic Metal Buttons with a glue dot. A little bit of an unexpected color combo but I think it works pretty well!
