Merry Stars Winter Birthday

Monday again… but it’s a Monday of another short week! This morning I’m moving my office at work to a new space in the back of the building. It will be nice because I will have a door! I have a lot of stuff to get accomplished in three days this week, but it will get done! I had a nice day yesterday, I crafted in the morning and then my friend Sandy stopped by for a bit. Heather came and picked me up around 2:00 and we ran to Target. I got some new pillows and other necessities. I came back home and dropped off my stuff and then went over to her house for an early dinner. We decided that we wanted to run to IKEA to look at some stuff. I want a new wall unit and couch and she wants to get a new desk chair and another chair for the living room. I had to stop at my parents and help my Dad get a new washing machine down into the basement, that was nice and light! NOT! We went to IKEA and I found a couch that I love and also a wall unit. I think I might run back tomorrow and get the wall unit and put it together on Thursday. Not too bad for a Sunday!

In keeping with my promise to make cards to have on hand today I have a nice winter birthday card. It’s also a great way to get some more use out of those Christmas stamps! My card base for today is Whisper White Card Stock. I cut a piece of Pacific Point to cover the entire card front. A piece of Pool Party is used for my background and I heat embossed the snowflakes from the Many Merry Stars Photopolymer Stamp Set in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The large star and center star are also from the same set and are cut out with the Stars Framelits, my large one is Pacific Point and the small one is Vellum. Both images are again heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the Vellum star is adhered to the Pacific Point one with Multi-Purpose Glue. My greeting is from the Guy Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set from the upcoming 2015 Occasions Catalog and is also heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Pacific Point. I used one of the dies from the Circle Card Thinlits to cut it out. The large star and the greeting are then adhered to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Not a bad way to get use some of your Christmas themed stamps after the holidays are over! I hope that you enjoyed my card today and as always, thank you so much for coming by to visit with me, you know how much I appreciate it! Have a magnificent Monday everyone! 🙂
