Paper Craft Crew 125

Well guess what?! I didn’t move again yesterday! LOL! I’m really not shocked but I’m the only one left in the old space out of my department. They say possibly tomorrow, if not then next Monday because I’ll be off on Friday!! Oh well! What can ya do?! Andrew came up to the office for the meeting and is going to help me with the design of the web site and print materials that go along with it. That will be fun! Oh, and he was officially added to the committee! He he! I did end up going back to IKEA last night to get my wall unit and Heather came with me. She needed to go and get something to wear tonight so we went to H&M. I found a pair of jeans and a pair of corduroys so I was quite happy about that! Oh and a cool pair of Union Jack socks! LOL! We went to IKEA after that, it’s connected to the mall, and I got my wall unit and the accessories that I wanted to go with it. We stopped by As-Is and Heather found a nice chair for $100 so since we had my dad’s truck so she got it. We stopped by and unloaded my stuff first and then I carried the chair into Heather’s and she put it where she wanted it and loves it. I’ll put my wall unit together on Thursday morning. Still not sure what I’m doing tonight, what are your plans for ringing in the new year?!

Wednesday and you know what that means, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS125 Sketch 12-31-2014

I stayed really true to the sketch this week! For my card base I used a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and the “Vintage” Color Spritzer Tool with my Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey Stampin’ Write Markers to create my spattered background. A piece of the new Chalkboard Paper* and the new Yellow Citrus ColorBox Chalk Ink Pad* along with the new Big Day Stamp Set** are used to stamp the cake. The slide frame is a piece of Tangelo Twist that I cut out with the On Film Framelits and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Starburst Sayings Stamp Set and the Starburst Framelits with Crushed Curry Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Hello Honey are used for my “embellishment”. My greeting on the arrow is from the And Many More Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the On Film Framelits to cut it out too and then before I popped it out of the Framelit I used a Liquid Stylus Fine Point Marker to create the outline. More Stampin’ Dimensionals adhered those to the card and complete it nicely! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Show some love by heading over to the blog to see what the other designers have done with the sketch and enter your creation in the gallery! Thank you all for your visits and comments this past year! I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings! Here’s to a fantastic year for all of us!! Have a great new year’s eve and stay safe!! 🙂

    1. WOW! Thanks so much Michael! I kept it simple but fun! Have a wonderful day and a very Happy New Year! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin! What a nice card for today! I love that you used that chalkboard paper. So cute! I did get some of the paper in my pre order but forgot to get the chalkboard ink. So that has to get added to my next order before I can play around with that. Glad you have a couple of days off! That’ll be fun putting together your new wall unit. We usually spend NYE with a bunch of neighbors at a house party. We take turns hosting but we all help with the food. We usually play games and just have a good ol’ time. Happy 2015! (it’s true what they say…the older you get, the faster it goes!) 😉

  2. Hi Justin! Great card! Love the way you did the outline on the arrow. I know you’ve used that technique before but I had forgotten it. I should use it myself so I can etch it on my brain….lol. Enjoy your New Year’s Eve.

    1. Hello Gerri!
Thanks! I think that the outline adds so much and because it’s still in the Framelit it nice and easy! Yes! I find that a post-it helps! LOL! I hope that you had a nice New Year’s Eve! 🙂
