SUO Challenges 113

Yes, we were supposed to move yesterday at work, did it happen, nope! I got in and all of the stuff in my old area was moved around but my new office had no ceiling and no lights. That would make it a little difficult to work in there so I stayed in my old space and we’ll try again tomorrow. After work I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to meet up with Renee and Andrew. He is going to be working there for two days next week while Renee is at CHA. Andrew will also be coming by my office tomorrow to help out with a Suicide Prevention Web Site that I will be designing. He is going to give his input as to what he thinks will appeal social media wise to the younger crowd. His first big time corporate meeting! LOL! It was nice that I volunteered him and he graciously accepted! ๐Ÿ™‚

If you want to order any of them or something that you forgot from the Holiday Catalog click on the catalog to the right!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Project Life challenge. All you have to do is use something from Stampin’ Up!’s Project Life range in your project. I am by no means a scrapbooker but I do have some of the accessory packs so I thought that I would make a simple note card size winter themed shaker card. The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock. To create the shaker I used one of the acetate cards from the Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack behind a frame of Lost Lagoon. I backed it with Lost Lagoon and sprinkled in some of the snowflakes from the Frosted Sequins Pack before adhering the frame to the base with some foam tape, a double layer so they would move around a lot! The shiny red dots and the HELLO are from the Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack. Love the nice shine to them! Like I said a nice simple shaker card that would work well for a bunch of different occasions. You know how I love a shaker card and I hope that you you enjoyed it too! There you have my card for the SUO Challenges Project Life challenge. Take a minute to stop by the blog to see what the other designers have done and make a little card or scrapbook layout and enter it in the gallery! Thanks you very much for taking some time out of your day to come by and see me! Have a fun Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Justin, may LORD bless and guide you in your creation of The Suicide Prevention Web Site. My youngest son, age 22 committed suicide.

    1. Thank you Charlene. I’m so sorry to hear about your son. Hopefully anything that we can do will help save a life. Hugs! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hi Justin! You had me at shaker! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Such a pretty card! I had to look closely at your red dots…thought you made them at first. I need to get my hands on some Project Life products…I have none! Hoping you are getting your move on today. I’m sure that was a disappointment yesterday. How nice of Andrew to help you out! You’ve got some awesome friends!

    1. LOL! Thank you Karen! It’s simple but fun! They Project Life Accessory Kits have some really neat stuff in them! Nope, no move today! Maybe tomorrow! Andrew is a great friend and they all loved him at the office! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Hey Justin, what a gorgeous card for today! I will have to jump on the band wagon and say you REALLY must do a video on how to make shaker cards, yours are always amazing! Hopefully today you will get to move offices!?! I have cleared out our hallway cupboards, started about 3pm and just finished now (it’s midnight!) very satisfying to see the 8 bags of ‘stuff’ ready to go out to the bin tomorrow! Off to bed, goodnight ๐Ÿ˜‰ xx

    1. Hello Kelly!
Thank you! And yes, I really do need to find the time to do a video! In the new year, I promise! Still no move! Oh well! LOL! I too need to do some more thinning out at home! Good for you! Hope that you had a nice sleep! XO ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Justin, your cards are always amazing. And, I love, love, love the way you use the props and “pose” your cards for photography. You do an excellent job!

I was wondering if there is a way I could contact you by email? I have a question regarding the website you are designing.

Thanks for all your hard work! I don’t know how you find the time to work, spend time with friends, and still manage to create a masterpiece each day!

    Jeanne

    1. Thanks so much Jeanne! I think that the props make the pictures a bit more interesting! I will send you an email so you can email me back. You people inspire me to create, plus it centers me! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Hi Justin, Sorry you didn’t move your office yesterday, but in my opinion, I love to set stuff up, so it would be something to look forward to. Your card is so great. Love the shaker snowflakes.

    1. Thanks very much Gerri! I love the Accessory packs and like I said, not really a scrapbooker so on the cards they go! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Andrew’s a great friend! That’s a very worthy cause that he’s helping you with.

    Clever, cute card, Justin!

    1. Yes, Andrew is the best friend! It’s a great cause and even if it helps one person, it’s worth all the work!
