Blackberry Night Watercolor Adventure

Hi there! Yesterday was another fun filled day with Maggie! We went over to Downtown Disney and picked up a few gifts in the morning and grabbed some Starbucks. Then we spent a little time wandering around the place. Around 1:30 we went over to Planet Hollywood for some lunch. The ceiling in the restaurant is so cool!

After we finished at Disney we headed over to the Outlets on International Drive and had ourselves a nice little walk around. I got a really cool Fossil watch and some pants and Maggie picked herself up a new coach bag and watch. We came to the Rosen Plaza and checked in and met up with Jacki again to head over to Friday’s for some dinner. After, I headed over to the airport to drop off the rental car and meet Brian! We took the shuttle back to the hotel and saw Maggie and Jacki for a bit before calling it a day. Here is a little picture of Maggie and I from yesterday!

I did a few watercolor backgrounds recently and will be posting some of the cards that I made using them over the next few days. Today’s one uses Blackberry Bliss and Night of Navy on Watercolor Paper for the background. I mounted it to a Sahara Sand card base. The stamp is from the Adventure Awaits Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum Card Stock and cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits. I used some carefully placed 2-Way glue to adhere it to the background. A few Simon Says Stamp Sparkle and Shine Sequins are adhered on the top half with Crystal Effects. If you look closely you can see the darker spots on the background and I think they give it an almost watery depth. I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and as always I thank you for coming by to share in my little adventures. Have a great Thursday peeps! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin, Glad you are having a good time. Sounds like so much fun. There is still lots of snow here and more to come . . . only an inch, but they have been wrong in the past. I love your card. That is a great sentiment for a dark and dangerous looking card. Perfect. I know a fisherman who would love it.
Hoping to watch the Live-Stream tonight.
    🙂

  2. HI Justin:
Thanks so much for sharing all the fun things you are doing. It’s really a pick me up to read for us that are snowbound! LOL Another storm due in tomorrow and then another on Monday. Good excuse to stay inside and play with stamps. I don’t know how you fit as much as you do into each day! I get tired just reading about it. Too funny. I know a lobsterman that would absolutely love your card for today! Keep having fun.
    Hugs………….
