Pistachio Cantaloupe Confetti Congrats

And it’s the last day. I will be very sad to leave Florida for the cold tundra that is NY! My flight is at 9:20 tonight so I do have most of the day here. I had another great day yesterday. We went to general session and then attended some of the classes. After that Maggie, Nicole and I went and sat at a table by the pool at the hotel and just relaxed. We headed out to dinner around 5:00 to have some Cuban food that was delicious! All in all a very good day! Here is a picture of the three of us at the restaurant…

Nicole, Me & Maggie

Today I have my last watercolor background card. I used Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe on Watercolor Paper to create the background. The greeting is from the Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder along with one of the images from the Dotty Angles Photopolymer Stamp Set. I mounted that to a Whisper White card base and that’s it! A very simple quick card but again I love the color that the background gives the card! I hope that you enjoyed it and thank you for coming by! I will catch up on all of my comments tonight! Thank you for stopping by and have a super Saturday! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin, Great card! Love the colors. Sorry you have to come back this way. It is absolutely freezing up here. Have a safe trip.

  2. Hi Justin:

Really cool color combo. Made me think of invitations to a summer picnic and I have absolutely no idea why I would think that. Maybe because of all the snow we have had and all that is to come. Yup, snowed all night last night, another storm coming on Monday and yet another on Wednesday. If this keeps up you may have to come rescue me by picking me off the roof with a helicopter! LOL

Boy Justin, this week really flew by and I feel bad that you have to leave Orlando just when you are starting to relax. It seems that is always the way it is when vacation is only one week. Hope you have a warm coat with you. Have a safe trip back and enjoy today.

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you! I think that the colors reminded me of fruit salad for some reason! LOL! I will send the chopper, just let me know when!
The week did fly by but I enjoyed every second of it! It was freezing when I got off the plane! I wondered why I got on in the first place! LOL!

  3. Hello Justin! Such a cool card today…love the colors you used! I’m so glad you’ve had a fun week. It went fast, didn’t it? That’s what retirement will feel like to you! 😉 My work week never went by as fast as they do now in my retirement. I listened to Jason the speaker this morning…oh my–was he ever fantastic! I was crying my eyes out as some of the things he spoke of hit pretty close to home for me. He did a great job! My Mom and I used to make cards together and I just lost her in November so the cards she made for me are the most precious things to me. I’ll cherish those forever! The power of a hand written (or handmade) card is amazing! There was a day that I came home from the hospice facility in Oct to find a card from a friend of mine just letting me know she was thinking of me. That day was such a terrible day for me and my Mom was not doing well and I cried the entire drive home. But when I read her card, it meant so much to me to know that she was thinking of me and wanted to put a little happiness in my day. I’m so proud to do what I do. The fact that I love doing it is just the icing on the cake! Safe travels back home later but enjoy your day!

    1. Hi Karen!
Thank you! I had the best week but yes it did go fast! I will take fast weeks with retirement! LOL! Jason was really good, much better than last years speaker! I did like the way he pulled you in. I think that there is nothing better tan receiving a handmade card, I keep all of mine! 🙂

  4. Hey Justin, pretty card today, I agree with Grace, it looks like summer, reminds me of watermelon 🙂 Time to come home already? I reckon you have packed a month’s worth of holiday into your week, it has been fun keeping up with you! I would love to try Cuban food, sounds spicy – was it? I made (almost) 2 cards yesterday! Housewarming and birthday. It was good to get into my stamping space, I always watch old movies while I work – not classic old, yesterday’s choice was Happy Gilmore, Lol! Still funny after about the 30th time 😉 Travel safe Justin, catch you when you get home xxx

    1. Hi Kelly!
Thank you! The colors definitely do feel like summer! Ha, I thought of watermelon too! LOL! The Cuban food was delicious! Best Empanadas I have ever had! It’s not too spicy, but can be if you want it to be! I can’t watch anything while I stamp, I get distracted by the TV! 🙂
