Oh yes… it’s that day… my favorite day… you guessed it, it’s FRIDAY!! Woo hoo! Bring on the weekend!! I’m looking forward to getting some projects finished and maybe even a trip into Manhattan at some point! Yesterday we had peeks of sun and then it snowed for about 30 minutes and was done. It’s supposed to get bitterly cold here over the next few days, they said that we might even break a record low temperature. That should be fun… NOT! Today I have a meeting this morning and then Andrew is going to come and meet me for lunch. Tonight I have a date with my friend Sandy! We are going to go out to dinner and then have a little crafty time! A lovely way to spend a Friday night! What’s going on by you this weekend?!
So I came home last night and played around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit, I even got to do some watercoloring! One of the cards that i made last night is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…
I wanted to do something collage and a little off kilter so this is what I came up with. My card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of the Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. Down the left side is a piece of paper from the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper Pack. The panel in the middle is a piece of Vellum. I used another piece of the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper and some of the Back to Black Designer Series Paper for my flags. They are stapled to the Vellum with the Handheld Stapler. The stamped image is from the Bits and Pieces Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered to the Vellum with SNAIL. I cut out a piece of Coastal Cabana with the Hello You Thinlits and used some 2-Way Glue to adhere it to the stamped image. Some more SNAIL adheres the Vellum to the card and a Basic Hodgepodge Clip finishes off the card. I like the randomness of the layout and the double use of the Vellum!
