Fab Friday 57 & One Last Pic!

Oh yes, it’s Friday!! Woo hoo! Friday’s always make me happy!! I had a 2 1/2 hour meeting at work yesterday, that was fun! It also got a lot colder as the day went on and windy. We are supposed to be in the negative numbers tonight, thankfully I have my electric blanket that my friend Eva sent me! It’s like a warm hug every night! I puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit playing with some of my new goodies and then made a few phone calls. Not an overly exciting evening but they all can’t be right?! I have one last picture to share with you from Leadership. It was taken after it had ended and it’s of Me, Maggie, Robyn and Nicole…

Me, Maggie, Robyn & Nicole

LOVE them!! I think the only thing that I regret was getting on the plane to come back to NY! LOL! I so miss the warm weather!

So today I am over on the Fab Friday blog for our color challenge. We have been away for a bit but we’re back!! Here are the colors…

Fab Fri 57 2-05-2015

Those look like the colors of love to me! LOL! Yes, another Valentine! To start off today’s card I used a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and adhered a strip of paper form the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack down the right side. The background is a piece of Watercolor Paper, I used my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Crisp Cantaloupe Ink to create the pretty gradient. The panel is then mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two more strips of the DSP are flagged and adhered along the bottom. The large Vellum heart is cut out with the Hearts Collection Framelits. For the LOVE I used the Little Letters Thinlits and some Real Red. The you is cut out with the Hello You Thinlits and they are both adhered to the card with 2-Way Glue. A few strategically Stampin’ Dimensionals pieces adhere the heart to the background. Across the top are some hearts that I punched out with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack from Calypso Coral and they too are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A little Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen is brushed over all of the letters for a little sparkle. Yes, I know, I have made a lot of Valentine’s this year! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday color challenge. Please take a minute to stop by the blog and see what the other designers have done and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for sharing in my week of Leadership pictures! I hope that we all have a Fabulous Friday!! 🙂

  1. Hey Justin, I see you’re getting your vellum on again! This card is amazing – that blended background is beautiful, and the words top it off. Great job! I have been wondering – what do you do with all the cards you make? Do you give them away, sell them or maybe hoard them? You must have thousands of cards the way you present a gorgeous new one to us every day… If you are hoarding them, you will be buried alive any minute now, lol! 😉 Hope your Friday is fabulous! Cheers xxx

    1. Hello Kelly!
Yes, I really do love Vellum don’t I? Thank you! I am going to start selling my cards, I do send some of them out but I need to sell some! I do have a lot of cards!! LOL! It’s true, there will be an avalanche any day now! I had a nice Friday, hope you did too! 🙂

  2. Totally love your background! Awesome. And you did it just with the ink pad (not the refill?). It’s a great color combo and your card is simple and gorgeous, and no stamping!!! Have yourself a Good Friday… just a few more hours to the weekend and your Saturday in Manhattan! I am so envious! Enjoy. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Louise! Yes, I used the ink pad. I need to do videos, where will I find the time for that?! LOL! I had a nice Friday, hope that you did too! I’m looking forward to Manhattan! 🙂

  3. Beautiful card made with colors I would never put together. I love the fact that we have so many punches, framelits, thinlits and dyes to choose from that we can now create without using a single stamp if we wish to. Hope your Friday passes quickly. Have a fab time in Manhattan tomorrow but you better bundle up from what I hear! Big Hugs X

    1. Thank you Grace! I too love that we have so many accessories! Make it all the more fun! Friday was good! How was yours? Manhattan will be great and yes, I will bundle up! Big hugs back to you! XO 🙂

  4. Ah Justin, I just love the way you can put a bunch of elements together and come out with a beautiful card!!! I’ve been waiting for my Hello You thinlits. They are on backorder. 🙁
Have a nice weekend. It’s supposed to warm up a bit.

    1. Why thanks you very much Gerri! There are a few things on backorder, I have a customer waiting for the Butterfly Thinlits! I hope that it does warm up, I’m over the cold! 🙂

  5. I love those blending tools! I think they work better with my old style pads but maybe I need to try a few more times to be sure! Long meetings are the worst. I usually participate by phone which is good because I can kind of multi task but it kills my ear! Even with ergonomic shoulder rests or ear pieces. Argh. Anyway, bring on the weekend! Time to make Valentine treats for all my special little people! I love the blended orange tones. Going to give that a shot.

    1. Me too Becca! I think they work better with the felt ones, maybe a bit more ink on the pad would help?! Long meetings are awful!I actually didn’t mind leaving the office for it though! LOL! Yup, I’m with you, weekend mode!! Have fun making your treats and your blending! 🙂

  6. Hi Justin and a very happy Friday to you! Gorgeous card today…I love it! I would not have put those colors together but I really like the way they look. And the vellum heart is perfect on your piece of gradient watercolor paper. Very cool indeed! Hope your day went fast so you can get started on the weekend!

    1. Hi Karen!
I hope that you had a happy Friday, mine was good! Thank you! I wouldn’t have put the colors together either but I will again! Have aggregate Saturday! 🙂

    1. Thanks very much Linda! LOL! I should just mail them all to you! LOL! I do love Vellum, it makes such a nice addition! Oooh! 40! Good for you! Make sure that you send the warmth ASAP! It has been really cold here too! Have a great day! 🙂
