Freshly Made Sketches 172 & Yup, Pics!

One more day… one more day… one more day! LOL! I can do it! It was nicer here yesterday, in the 40’s. Not much of the snow melted but at least there was no more! I have an order coming from Stampin’ Up! tomorrow, about time I got some new goodies! I have to take some of it into Manhattan on Saturday for my friend Isabella. I’m looking forward to a little city time. After the city I’m going to have a late lunch with my friend Sue. Saturday is shaping up to be a good day!

Guess what?! I have a few more pictures for you from Leadership! LOL!

Here I am with Jeanne!

And now on to today’s card which is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 172

Yes, I saw the heart and made another Valentine’s card! The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock and my background is a piece of Very Vanilla that is stamped in Blushing Bride, stamped off once, with the “Vintage” En Français Background Stamp. Across the middle is a piece of Naturals Ivory with a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord wrapped around and tied in a bow. I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card. The XOXO is from the Circle Card Thinlits and is cut from a piece of Blushing Bride. I used the Simon Says Stamp Sketch Heart to cut out some Champagne Glimmer Paper and some Designer Series Paper. Hmm.. what DSP is that?! The feather is also a Simon Says Stamp die and it too is cut from Champagne Glimmer Paper. They are both adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Yes, I am still in love with that Sketch Heart and I have missed that En Français Background Stamp! So there is yet another Valentine! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Thanks for stopping by to see the pictures and what I have been up to! Enjoy your Thursday! 🙂

  1. Gorgeous card Justin. Love that heart! It has a very modern feel to it. And perfect pairing with your staging: the J and the vintage stamp! Have a great day.

    1. Thank you Louise! I too love that heart! The J is my favorite prop and I love that En Français stamp! I hope that you had a good day! 🙂

  2. Oh Justin – I love the feather, love the feather, love the feather! That champagne glimmer paper was perfect for the feather and the heart – by the way did I tell you I LOVE that feather? LOL Beautiful card indeed.

It’s snowing here today yet again. I don’t even know what to say about that. The good part is that at least January is over so only two more months of constant snow. My kids have the right idea – they are headed to Florida to Harry Potter World in a few more weeks.

So glad your going into Manhattan on Saturday. I miss your Manhattan photos so much. If you get to see Renee tell her I said hi. Enjoy the day, time flies by too quickly. Hugs XO

    1. YAY! Thank you very much Grace!! I love that feather die!!
Ugh! I would think that even you have had enough of the snow! I loved Harry Potter world!! I was bummed that I didn’t get to go to it this time!
I am happy to be going into the city too! I will make sure and take some pics! I will see Renee tomorrow night! Time definitely does move too quickly! Hugs to you! XOXOXOXO 🙂

  6. Hi Justin! Pretty card today! I have always loved that background stamp and will never get rid of it! Not sure about the dsp you used but I’ll take a guess…it is Fan Fair? I don’t have any of that but looked in the catalog and it was rather hard to see in the picture. Love that feather die too! We are in the deep freeze…sunny but wind chills in the double digits below zero! Hope your day was a good one!
