Mojo 384

Sigh… the meetings at work were not fun just as I had thought! LOL! I really don’t enjoy being trapped anywhere for an extended period of time! Not that anyone does! The weather here was nice yesterday, not too cold and sunny. I went to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte right from work and had to wear my sunglasses in the car! I turned the heat up really high and pretended it was Summer! Sad huh?! Renee got some more new goodies in and I spent much more than I should have! Gotta get ready for the next class! When I got home I had some dinner and then watched a few YouTube videos, I can get a little lost in YouTube. Do you find that when you watch one you just keep watching more and more?! I have to limit myself to YouTube only three times a week! LOL!

So, today’s post is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo384

I have been on a little bit of a pink kick lately and it shows no signs of stopping! LOL! My card base for today is Sahara Sand Card Stock. On the lower half of the card is a piece of the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper. I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits on a piece of Pink Pirouette to go across the middle. My panel is a piece of Pink Pirouette that Embossed with the Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and backed with a piece of Pistachio Pudding. The tag is also Pistachio Pudding, the leaves are stamped in Pistachio Pudding from the Flower Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set and the top is punched with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch, the tag is then adhered to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord is wrapped around the panel and tied in a bow. The panel is then adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My flower is from the Petal Potpourri Stamp Set and is stamped in Pink Pirouette and punched out with the Flower Medallion Punch. I stamped the greeting from the Hello Life Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sahara Sand and used an element from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to cut it out. Nice and soft and spring like, just what we need right now! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I always appreciate you stopping by and love to see your comments! Have a terrific Thursday! 🙂

  1. Hey Justin! I love your card, but even more than your card……. I love your positive, upbeat attitude! You bring a smile to my face daily….and I look forward to seeing what’s going on with you.

    1. Hi Jeanne!
Thank you so much! There is so much wrong in the world we need to have a good attitude! You all bring a smile to my face with your wonderful comments! Have a lovely day! 🙂

  2. Beautiful card! You sure can use new products! I will miss the In Colors that are retiring this summer. I just got in some of the cardstock. There is just something about the Baked Brown Sugar that I can’t enough of. I’ve holding out on getting yet one more Embossing Folder, but I guess I will have to get Spring Flowers. Sahara Sand has really won me over too — it’s so versatile.
You are well aware of what tomorrow is and it’s also the 13th. Meanwhile, enjoy today! Nancy B

    1. Thank you so much Nancy! I do love something new! I too like the In-Colors, they are pretty neat but I look forward to seeing the new ones! They may bring them back at some point, you never know! I didn’t think that I would use the Spring Flower Folder but it’s actually pretty nice! I have always loved Sahara Sand, it makes a nice change from Vanilla and White! Oh! I forgot that it’s the 13th too! It will be a good day! Hugs! 🙂

    1. LOL! I do stuff like that all the time Nancy! It’s usually at work in an email too! LOL! 🙂

  3. Hey Justin, wow this is a great card! So many layers, I hope you have a reinforced envelope 😉 I love the little banner and the edgelit border, it’s so pretty – I don’t see any vellum…. Lol! I got my order finally!! I cannot wait to play with the sheltering tree set, so many little pieces in there 🙂 I love You Tube too, and I agree, many hours can be wasted! I like watching Dr Phil episodes because I miss daytime tv (work ruins everything, lol!) My day at work sucked yesterday, hopefully today will be better – for you too! It IS Friday after all 😉 Cheers Justin xoxo

    1. Hi Kelly!
Thank you! I needed something that very Stampin’ Up! and I think that this card fits the bill! LOL! Yes, I would need a padded envelope I think! I forget about the Edgelits too, just happened to glance over at them! Glad that your order finally came, I hate waiting for a package! YouTube is definitely a great time waster and yes, work ruins the whole day! LOL! I’m sorry that you had a bad day, I know exactly how you feel! But it’s Friday so everything will be better! Hope your day today is a good one! XOXO 🙂

  4. Another beautiful card! Love the torn look to the sentiment panel and the pastels with sahara sand combo is fabulous. Thanks for playing along with Mojo Monday!

    1. Thank you so much Julee! I am always very inspired by your sketches! Have a great weekend! 🙂

  5. Howdy Justin! Love your card today! All the layers, the embossing, the colors—the whole thing! So pretty! I have neglected that edgelit die…I’m gonna have to use that soon. It looks so good! I do get sucked into YouTube but worse than that is Pinterest. Oh my—love it but I loose track of time when I’m on there. Hope your day was a good one! Oh and fun times again at Renee’s store. Maybe she needs an in-house designer? Just sayin’! 🙂

    1. Hello Karen!
Thank you! Yes, lots of layers! I need to sit there and go through everything that I have, I always forget things! Well, you know how I am with Pinterest! I think I’m up to 84,000 followers! Crazy! Wouldn’t it be nice if I could work for Renee! That would be the best job ever! 🙂

  6. Realy great card, soft pastel, so Springy. LOL how can you not spend more at a scrapbook store then you should. those items just call my name and beg to come home with me.

    Take care

    1. Thank you Linda! Yes, I need Springy bad right now! Don’t we all?! I have to control myself at the scrapbook store! It’s bad because I always get to see the new stuff first and I want it even more! LOL! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂
