Pals Paper Arts 238

Still a little chilly here! Yesterday work was not too bad, I did get to run to the Apple Store to pick up a new iMac for work. Probably my last time, sigh. After work I went and got my haircut and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee. She got a whole bunch of stuff in and I helped put some of it out. I love looking at all of the new goodies and of course I had to buy a few things! LOL! I also got to talk to my favorite person in the whole world while I was there!! I came home and realized the I had a few cards to make so I was up pretty late and up early this morning to head into Manhattan. I’m going to meet my friend Kim for breakfast and then head over to see my friend Isabella. After that I’m coming back out to the island to meet my friend Sue for lunch. I’m looking forward to all of it. 🙂

So the card that I have for you for today is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

PPA 238

I definitely haven’t used Rose Red in a long time! I also wanted to use the new Snuggles and Smooches set so here is what I came up with. The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock. I took another piece of Whisper White and stamped the scribbles from the Snuggles and Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set in Rose Red, Pink Pirouette and Basic Gray randomly to create my background. The Love is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder on a strip of Vellum Card Stock. I wrapped that around the background and then adhered it to the card base. Some of the hearts are also heat embossed and punched out with the heart form the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. 2-Way Glue holds them in place. A quick simple and fun card, and yes, it’s technically another Valentine! LOL! Just way too much love lately, I know! I do hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. Thanks you so much for stopping by and I hope that you all have a superb Saturday! 🙂

  1. Great card!!! You have the best posts ever. I absolutely love hearing about you meeting up with your friends and having breakfast or lunch and then shopping. I have to come to New York and spend a couple of days just to hang out with you. Life up here in the Northwest can be a little boring.

    1. Thank you Sandy! I’m also happy that you love hearing about my exploits! Yes!! You should some down and spend a couple of days here!! That would be fun!! 🙂

  2. Hi there Justin! Love your card! The randomness of those squiggles is just the best. I didn’t really think I needed this set…not so sure now! 😉 It must be so much fun to unpack things at Renee’s store! Sounds like a fun day ahead for you. Our godchildren are coming over today to make their valentine’s so that’ll be so much fun. Enjoy your day!

    1. Hi Karen!
Thanks so much! I got that stamp set just for the squiggles! I also love the greetings, have to use those soon! I did have fun unpacking all o the new Ranger goodies at Renee’s! I’ll bet that you had a great day with your god children! 🙂

  3. Hi Justin:

I never gave that stamp set a second glance but I really love what you did with it. Hmmmm I may have to rethink this one. I absolutely love this card, most likely because I enjoy making my own backgrounds. I’m sure it was a lot of fun seeing all the new goodies at Renee’s shop. Does Renee have a website that you can purchase from? Do you know if she received any of the goodies I was looking for? Sounds like you are going to have one heck of a busy day today. I know you’ll have a lot of fun. Meanwhile we are preparing for another series of snow storms here followed by some really, really cold weather. It’s all good because if it ever gets to 40 degrees here again we will really appreciate it. Have fun my friend! Hugs! 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
I think that stamp set is so cool! Great for making backgrounds! I too enjoy making backgrounds!
Renee’s shop is so much fun! There are always people there and lots of activity! I am going to set her up with a site to purchase from. I think that she did get the things that you asked for, I will double check today! I had a lovely day yesterday! I know I have said it before but I’m done with Winter! I need the 70’s again! Hope that you had a good day! Hugs! XOXO 🙂
