Paper Craft Crew 130 and Yes, More Pics

Ok, just want to say that I’m over the snow! Oh and the ice too! We will have some more on Thursday night and then again on Monday. Boy the winter has kicked into high gear around here. I keep telling myself that in a few months this will all be a distant memory! Let’s hope the next few month’s go by quickly! Yesterday was pretty uneventful, work, well was work, I came home and had dinner and then surfed the web and watched some YouTube videos. I made a card and then made the mistake of turning on the TV, the Devil Wears Prada was on, I had to watch! Love that movie!

So, I have some more pictures for you today from Leadership…

Here I am with Robin…

I have a bunch more pictures to come! Again, I had so much fun meeting everyone!

Speaking of the Paper Craft Crew it’s Wednesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS130 DT Sketch 2-04-2015

Yes, I have another Valentine’s card! You can never have too much love! LOL! Today’s card starts with a Whisper White Card Stock base. Two pieces of paper from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack adhered to a piece of Basic Black create the background. I adhered a piece of Real Red 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon around the back and then adhered it to the card base. The greeting is from the So You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black and backed with a piece of Whisper White. It’s adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The large heart is from the January Paper Pumpkin kit, I heat embossed it in white Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum along with two stamps from the Pictogram Punches Stamp Set. The large heart is cut out with my Paper Snips and the two small hearts are punched out with the heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. I adhered all of the hearts with some 2-Way Glue. To finish off the card I adhered some sequins along the lower right. I really like the white embossed love on the black with the bold background. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Stop by the blog to check out the other design team members projects. There is also some bog candy his week! Thanks you very much for stopping by and I hope that we all have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin, thanks for posting our picture, it was very nice to meet you at Leadership. I live on an island so our weather is very much like it was in Florida. I love NY but not in the winter. Have a great week in spite of the weather.

    1. Thank you for coming over and having the picture taken! It was great to meet you too! I would love to be anywhere warmer than NY! I hate the winter up here! Enjoy the rest of your week too!! 🙂

  2. Hi Justin:

You get to meet so many lovely people through SU. It seems like such an amazing experience. On top of that everyone always looks like they are having tons of fun.

Today’s card is gorgeous. I just love that DSP and I think no matter what day it is, Valentine’s or not, anyone would just love to receive a card like this. Your snipping around the heart is so perfect! I really thought you had die cut it! I love that heart stamp and again, you are definitely the best at embossing on vellum. The three little sequins on the right bottom balance the card perfectly. All in all, just a fabulous card Justin. I love it.

I’m hoping to be able to get out for a while today and do some shopping. It feels like it’s been months since I’ve been stuck inside. The only good thing about that is that I got a lot done. LOL NOT! You have your self a wondrous Wednesday as you look around at the beauty of winter. Hugs! 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
I really do get to meet so many awesome people! That’s the best part of all of this! We definitely do have lots of fun!
Thanks! I too love that DSP! Embossing on Vellum is certainly my favorite thing to do!
LOL! Well, you have had a lot of snow! I couldn’t stand to be stuck in the house! I hope that you got out! XOXO 🙂

  3. Hi Justin, Great card! Love the vellum and the stacked with love dsp. I’m with you on the snow. Enough!!

  4. Hi Justin! Great card! Love the black, red, white and vellum combo! That designer series paper stack is the best, isn’t it? And you know how I feel about the sequins! 😉 Thanks for sharing your pics from Leadership. Nice to see everyone having a good time! Have a fabulous day!

    1. Hello Karen!
Thanks very much! Yes, the DSP Stack is really neat! You know that I am with you on the sequins! LOL! We had a great time at Leadership! Hope that you had a fantastic day! 🙂

  5. Hi Justin, beautiful card today – again! Square cards are so classy I think, and I love the white embossing, I don’t use that enough! Have you seen Jan Tink’s video on the water background with the lotus flower? I watched it yesterday, OMGosh, it is amazing. I wish I could spend more time stamping. Wouldn’t it be great if we didn’t have to work? But unfortunately I start my Thursday in an hour, so better move! Have a great day Justin 😀 xxx

    1. Hello Kelly!
Thank you! I like a square card too! You know that I definitely love some heat embossing! LOL! I have to watch the video! Thanks for the heads up! I wish that I could stamp all day! Yes, it would be fantastic if we didn’t have to work! I hope that you had a good day my friend! 🙂 XOXO

  6. Hi Justin, Thanks for posting all of your pics with names; it’s great to put a face to a name! Seems that you are “over” with snow, so if would like any of the 76 inches that we have “received” in the last 10 days, I am more than eager to share!!! Not to mention the 8 to 12 inches we are to get tonight and tomorrow! (Just thought this would you feel better in NY!)
Loved all of your watercolor backgrounds on many of your recent cards. The embossed vellum makes this card too! Have a wonderful Thursday!

    1. Hello Beth!
Welcome! I’m very lucky that I get to take so many pictures with so many lovely people! I am definitely over the snow! I appreciate the offer but you can keep it! LOL!
Thank you! I love doing the watercolor backgrounds! I hope that you had a good day! 🙂

  7. Love your pics. Great card, feel free to mail it to me. I love the embossing, and that open heart from paper pumpkin is becoming one of my favorites.

I’m with you, only 23 more days of February, I’ll be counting minutes pretty soon. We only had a few flurries today so my commute was normal, but Sunday snow, snow and ice. One of my nurses just made it back hopje, she was stuck in NYC, you guys on the East are really getting nailed. Her family is in Boston and they are struggling. Take care

    1. LOL! Thanks so much Linda! I have a lot of cards to email to you!
I am already counting the minutes! I need no more snow and some warm weather! We are really getting a lot of snow! I am not a fan of February anymore! LOL! 🙂
