Paper Craft Crew 133

A very happy hump day to you! It was another frigid day here but that’s the norm now! I did have a nice day, I went to lunch with my friend Robin. We went to Moe’s, I haven’t been there in a while and it was good. I came home and got to talk to one of my favorite people! I had a nice long chat with my friend Michael! He is doing well enjoying the fact that he is not here in NY freezing with the rest if us! He has warmth yes, but I have Target, Michaels and bagels! LOL! All kidding aside, he is missed! I also stopped by Heather’s for a little wine last night. Nothing like some Cupcake Red Velvet and some laughs to finish off the evening! Tonight I’m off to Scrap-A-Latte to help prepare for the card class on Friday. Let’s see if I can leave without buying anything! 😛

So we all know that Wednesday means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS133 DT Sketch 2-25-2015

I decided that I would use one of the cards form the This Day Project Life Mini Card Kit again. My card starts with a base of Whisper White Card Stock, the background is a piece of Coastal Cabana that I embossed with the “Vintage” Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Project Life Card is backed with a piece of Whisper White and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My cloud is one of the dies from the Word Bubbles Framelits and is also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched out a piece of Whisper White with the 1″ Circle Punch and adhered that in the lower left corner. A piece of the Retro Fresh Designer Washi Tape covers a piece of Whisper White and goes across the bottom. My greeting is from the Snuggles and Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Coastal Cabana, some more Stampin’ Dimensionals hold that to the card. A button from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack completes the card. I’m really enjoying using the Project Life cards for my cards and I love the monochromatic Coastal Cabana with the white. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team have created and enter you card in the gallery. Thank you for your visit today, I always love having you stop by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Cute card. But…well…I just do not think you have enough clouds on this card. LOL. Also, you forgot to mention how I do not have Barnes & Noble, Texas Roadhouse, Best Buy, Bareburger, The Ink Pad, Wegmans, oh, the list just goes on and on. LOL

    1. LOL! Thanks! Yeah, I would have added some more clouds but I couldn’t find any more room! I wasn’t trying to be mean, just mention some of the things that you are missing. 🙂

  2. So, did you make it out of Latte Scrap without buying anything, not! Where is Michael, on the moon? One of the things I think I would miss out of our area is the closing times of stores. What is that saying . . . the sidewalks roll-up @ 6 p.m. when I travel to other states. What did we ever do with stores closing on Sundays too? I love your card. I can tell those are “passing-through” clouds, not leaving any rain or SNOW! I also like your layers and the circle behind the button!
    🙂

    1. I am going to Scrap-A-Latte tonight Nancy! I don’t usually make it out of there without buying something! Michael is in Brasil, but it might as well be the moon! LOL! I think that I would miss running to Target at 11:00pm! I don’t know what we used to do when things actually were closed! It’s been such a long time! Yes, they are fun happy clouds, no rain or snow or precipitation of any kind! Thank you! Have a great day! 🙂

  3. OK- this is adorable – another stamp set that I overlooked and can see a lot of use for- not just Valentines Day.
You always make me smile with your blog- ha ha ha- Target, Bagels and Michael’s!
So what did you buy at scrap a latte?
    Happy Hump Day!

  4. Hey there Justin! Love your card today! And your little bird. That little saying is adorable and I also overlooked that one! You wouldn’t know that if you walked into my stamp room though! Sounds like a fun evening you had! You know those brownies I was making yesterday…they were red velvet brownies. And pretty good too! I should have had your wine with them. 😉 Have fun shopping at Scrap-A-Latte tonight!

    1. Hello Karen!
Thanks! The little ceramic bird needed to be there! I think the saying is so cute! LOL! Ha! Yeah, I know what that’s like, I have so many stamps and there is always one that I forget! It was a nice evening, I do love a little wine with Heather! Gasp!! Red Velvet brownies! I’ll bet they were delicious! You should have had the wine, I’ll bet that would have been amazing! Sara-A-Latte was fun as always! 🙂

  5. Always an inspiration, but I will wait for warmer weather to get into an idea like this. I am going out today for the first time in almost two weeks! It’s almost scary! The sun is shining so it feels like more than 17 degrees. I have been working on trying to organize all my clear and photopolymer stamp sets. What a job! I think I may just try for alphabetical order instead of by category. What do you all do? What in heavens name is Michael doing in Brasil? I am glad to hear you are getting used to your new position at work. It takes time. I believe my bow punch has arrived! Enjoy Wednesday! Nancy B

    1. LOL! Thank you Nancy! I’m trying to bring the warmer weather! LOL! I don’t think that I could stay in the house for that long! It’s always a huge undertaking to organize the craft stuff! I need to do it as I get it, that never happens! I have a great system for my non-Stampin’ Up! sets and the Stampin’ Up! ones go on shelves in alphabetical order. Michael actually lives in Brasil. I am trying to get used to my new job. Glad that you got your Bow Punch! Hope that you had a nice day too! 🙂

  6. Love, love, love this card! I have a friend that knits baby sets for all her friends to give to their grandchildren. She is the one that taught me to knit them so that I can also give them out. As a thank you to her I make her baby cards to give to the recipient to go with her sets. This would be just lovely in pink, blue or the “good for any child” colors of yellow and green. The clouds remind me of the old days when people used to tell their children that the stork brought the baby.

Have fun at Stamp-a-Latte (I just love that name) tonight. Let me know what you find out about the dies please. Wish I was close enough to take your classes and NO, I do not believe for a moment that you will arrive home without some wonderful purchase! LOL

Have a Wonderful Wednesday. I never did get cookies made yesterday and today I absolutely have to get busy and design my Easter cards. There is too much going on in March and I’ll feel rushed if I don’t get them done this week. Big hugs from the frozen north! XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! I too like the clouds, so serene and relaxing! It definitely would make a great accompaniment to a baby gift! My mum knits, she doesn’t do it all the time. I have tried but I don’t do it fast enough! LOL!
Stamp-A-Latte was great as always! The name is perfect! Renee is ordering them, they were hard to get, apparently Memory Box had a lot of orders after CHA. I wish that you were close enough too! But then we would just be hanging out at Scrap-A-Latte all the time! LOL! I didn’t make it out of there without picking up something!
My day was pretty good. I had some really good chocolate chip cookies at Heather’s last night. They were delicious! I am always behind Grace, I think that sometimes I bite off more than I can chew! Huge hugs to you! XOXOXO 🙂

  7. Leave without buying anything at a scrapbook store, really… LOL You better share your goodies. Love this creation, love your colors and the billowy clouds make me think of spring, (Yep, we got 3 inches of the white crap today, interesting rush hourdrive) Take care

    1. Ha ha! I can dream Linda! Nope, I got some stuff! I said what I got in the post tomorrow. Thank you! Yes, I am trying to usher Spring in as early as I can! Ugh! No more snow!! Hugs! 🙂

    1. Sorry my comments are brief (and rushed), both kids had different crazy stuff going on and it’s been fun, fun, fun here : / I really do love this card and I hope that I can find a way to replicate the clouds, since it’s a SAB product and now SU put out some brand new SAB items, I’m so torn which to pick!! Hey, the budget is squeaking already, lol!

      1. No need to apologize Jill! I appreciate you taking the time! Yes, there are way too many neat Sale-A-Bration products to choose from! I have the 4 new ones on their way to me! 🙂
