Mojo 390

Hi there! SO nice to see you as always! It’s Thursday! You know that my happiness level always peaks towards the end of the week! LOL! Yesterday was a quiet day, not much happened. After work I came home and had dinner with ‘rents. I spent some time in the Stampin’ Galley working on a few projects. Taylor called me to tell me that she had found a shirt that I had wanted and was going to drop it off to me. She stopped by with her friend Chris and we talked for a bit. I also got to Skype with Andrea, she was all gussied up to go to a committee meeting at her children’s school. The rest of the evening was nice and quiet. I watched some videos on YouTube and then surfed around on-line for a bit. A nice quiet evening!

Today I have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo390

I have a few new stamps that I have been wanting to use for a while so I incorporated them into today’s card. The card base is Whisper White Card Stock covered in a piece of Night of Navy. I used another piece of Night of Navy and the Hero Arts Tiny Star Background Stamp with some Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder for my background. A piece of Smoky Slate is punched out with the Confetti Stars Border Punch and adhered to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My flagged piece is Basic Gray. The greeting is a Simon Says Stamp set called Sparkle and Shine and is heat embossed with more Liquid Platinum on Vellum. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles to cut it out and some 2-Way Glue and a tiny piece of Kool Tak Clear Foam holds it in place. The star is a piece of Smoky Slate that I cut out with the Stars Framelits and Heat embossed with the Liquid Platinum as well. A Stampin’ Dimensionals holds it to the card. Finally a few Hazel & Ruby Shine and Sparkle and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins on the flagged piece complete the card. I love that detailed starry background, I think it looks great with the Confetti Stars Punch! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Thank you so much for your visit! Have an awesomely incredible Thursday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin:

Your card today is gorgeous and it cracked me up. Neither one of my girls was easy to get out of bed in the mornings for school or church. I always used to wake them up by saying “Get up, it’s time – you need to sparkle and shine”. LOL They hated it and they used to ask how I could sound so cheerful first thing in the morning. Well, surprise, surprise – I wasn’t cheerful at all but didn’t want to start their day by yelling at them.

The little star background is absolutely fabulous especially done with the very shiny embossing powder. Blue and silver always look so amazing together. Of course I don’t have to remind you of how much I love the way you emboss on vellum and…….I looked and looked and could not find even a hint of what is holding it onto the card. Fantastic job (as always).

Thank you my friend for starting my day with a smile and good memories. LOL Love ya! 🙂

    1. Hello there Grace!
Thank you! LOL! My mom always had a hard time waking me up for school, she was pleasant to start but lost patience rapidly! I would have much rather had been woken up by you!
I love that background stamp and the Liquid Platinum EP is so nice! I agree with you about the blue and silver, I am really into Night of Navy lately! I do try and hide the adhesive as best as I can!
Thank you Grace for you time every day, it means so much to me! Love ya too! XOXO 🙂

  2. Hi Justin! Great card! Love the blue and silver together and all those stars! Love ’em! Just a fantastic card all the way around. Has the week gone fast for you? My weeks fly by here. They never went that fast while I was working. 😉 Have a great rest of your day!

    1. Hey Karen!
Thanks! The card is nice and sparkly! My week actually has gone pretty fast! I wish it went by fast because I was crafting, not working! LOL! 🙂

  3. Oooh Justin, your card just “Sparkles and Shines”!! Ok, I probably just cracked up only myself 😀 Seriously your card is beautiful. Your sentiment really follows through with colors you chose. That is an awesome background stamp with all the little stars, adding to my wish list again 😉

  4. Hey Justin, what a beautiful card – that background stamp is amazing! And as always, the sequins top it off nicely 🙂 It’s Friday morning here, my daughter has a camp and I have to get her to school by 6:30am! Its 5:45am now – I didn’t know that this hour even existed… Gotta run, have a great day Justin, and I’ll try to stay awake past lunch time, Lol! cheers xoxo
