Paper Craft Crew 135

Hi there! First of all thank you so much for all of the comments on yesterday’s card! I’m so happy that you liked it! It is one of my recent favorites! I do love watercoloring and will be doing it a lot more in the future. I actually find it quite relaxing. The weather here was in the 50’s again yesterday and is supposed to go up into the 60’s today! It will be raining but it’s all good. When I got home from work last night I Skyped with Andrea and Eva and had a nice long chat with my favorite person, Mr. Trent! Taylor came over for a little while and I puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit. A pretty good day all around! Oh, I’m participating in a blog hop tomorrow with a new group of people so make sure that you come back for that!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for our sketch challenge…

PCCCS135 DT Sketch 3-11-2015

I’m really liking the Vellum (shocker!) that was recently added to Sale-A-Bration and I used a nice big piece on my card! The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and that background is a piece of Coastal Cabana. On the top is that piece of Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum and across the bottom is a piece of the Washi Tape from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Kit. The panel in the middle is one of the cards from the Project Life This Day Mini Card Collection. I used the Clearly Besotted Notebook Edge Die along the left side. The two feathers and greeting are from the Lovely Amazing You Photopolymer Stamp Set. The feathers are stamped in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay and the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black. I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My star is cut out from a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with the Stars Framelits. A piece of Whisper White that I flagged comes in from the right and three 2013-2015 In-Color Sequins complete the card. I’m really loving the Lovely Amazing You Set, naturally because it has a feather in it! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Go over to the blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with and show us some love by entering your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me, I wish you a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

    Have a great hump-day.
    🙂

    1. Thank you Nancy! It really is a fun stamp set! My Wednesday was good, hope that your’s was too! 🙂

  2. Happy Wednesday Justin! I love your card! I have that stamp set coming in the next few days…I can’t wait to use it! And of course I love the feathers too! The blues looks great together. And I’m loving that SAB vellum paper too. I think I’ve hoarded quite a bit but I still have time to get more before the end of the month! 😉 Have a great day and hope you’ve got plenty of sunshine there today!

    1. Hello Karen!
Thank you! It’s a fun set and the feathers are just a bonus! The Sheer Perfection Vellum is so neat! I need to get some more too! We had a fair amount of sunshine and I loved every minute of it! 🙂

  3. Love this card too! Coastal cabana is one of my favorite colors! (anything that reminds me of the beach if a favorite!) Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thanks MaryJo! I do love the blues and Coastal Cabana definitely has a beach feel to it! 🙂

  4. Good Morning Justin- the colors are great and I knew you would be showcasing that vellum paper sooner or later! Happy Hump Day!

    1. Hello Marty!
Thanks! Yes, I had to have that Vellum! Hope your Wednesday was good! 🙂

  5. What a fantastic card Justin. Boy, your creative juices have really been flowing lately! May I ask what size your card is? It almost looks like it’s 5.5″ X 4-1/4″ or one 8-/12 ” X 11″ piece of card stock folded in half. I would normally say that the glitter star is the “star” of this card, it is beautiful, but I think the feathers with the wording over them is the real eye grabber. It’s just a fabulous card all together and such a beautiful color combo to greet the sunshine coming through the window.

Another sunny day here – I am awash with joy. In fact, if we have another sunny day in a row I just may get a bit giddy! All of that put together is what the hubs calls “cabin fever withdrawal”! LOL I hope it all lasts for a while before we head into the heat and humidity of summer days which I hate more than snowy days. Yikes – I need to move someplace where it’s either spring or fall all year. 🙂 You have yourself a hump day filled with sunshine and smiles. Hugs to you my friend! 🙂

    1. Thank you very much Grace! Yes, that the size that I do for most of my cards. I like the little sparkle of the star but I agree, the feathers and greeting are the star!
It was sunny here too, a little overcast in the morning but the sun was shining in the afternoon! I too am loving the weather lately, let’s hope that is stays! I know that you don’t enjoy the heat and humidity but just think back to all of the snow and I’m sure that it will make you feel better about it! Yes, someplace that it’s spring all year would be great! Hope you had a great Wednesday! XOXO 🙂

  6. One of my favorite cards! Love the colours – just like the Caribbean and my wardrobe! Will you be taking out the convert today??!! What is your ragtop make? I’m a 2008 Miata driver. Thanks for all your creativity and for reminding me why I live in FL with all your snowy posts! Hope you get lots of sunshine today. I’ve attached a bit more for you in case you don’t get quite enough today. SUNSHINE, SUNSHINE, SUNSHINE!

    1. Thank you so much Cyndee! It’s very Caribbean indeed! I didn’t have the top down in the car, too much water all over from the melting snow! I have a 2000 Chrysler Sebring, an oldie but a goodie! Love your car, so cute! Yes, I too would like to live in Florida, especially after this winter! I got the sunshine that you sent, thank you! Keep it coming! 🙂

  7. Your colors remind me of the Caribbean….Ooh wouldn’t we LOVE to be there!! Really nice way to showcase the new SAB vellum, reminds me of schools of fish you see when snorkeling in clear water. Ok, I could go on and on, lol. Your card has a really awesome balance. I like the little sliver of the white banner, it reminds me of… just kidding 😉 Have a wonderful day, enjoy the sunshine!! 😀

    1. Yes, Jill, they are very tropical! I too would love to be there! I like the school of fish analogy! Thank you so much! LOL! I had a good day and hope that you did too! 🙂

  8. Good morning Justin, Happy Thursday! I love today’s card, the colours are relaxing and summery. And the notebook edge is amazing! I am just watching Sunrise (like the Today show) and they are filming from Hawaii this week. I need to go there, it just looks so beautiful – have you ever been there? What is your favourite place in the US? Better get ready for work or there will be NO holidays happening, ever! Hope your Wednesday was awesome! Cheers Justin 🙂 xoxo

    1. Hello Kelly! Happy Thursday to you too! Thank you, yes, the card does have a nice tranquil feel to it! I love that little notebook edge die too! I have friends that have been to Hawaii, I too would like to take a trip there! I have to say that I do love Florida, although, from what I saw of the Long Beach, CA area, that looked nice too! Hope that you had a nice day at work! Hugs to you! XOXOXO 🙂

  9. Grerat creation, love the colors, love how the feathers appear to be in a heart shape, with the sentiment stasmpd over. This is a great set, I got mine in last week but have not had time to play

    1. Thank you Linda! I didn’t notice the heart shape until you mentioned it but I see it! It is a great set with some wonderful greetings! Hope you get time to play with it this weekend! 🙂
