Paper Craft Crew 141 & Tags Class

Wow! It’s Wednesday already peeps! The week is moving along at a nice pace! Remember I said that it was supposed to rain here on and off all day yesterday? Well, someone was wrong! It rained in the morning and by the afternoon it was beautiful and sunny! I went over to Scrap-A-Latte right from work and I got to drive over with the top down in the car! What a nice way to end the work day! I hung out with Renee and Angie and got a little ahead by cutting out all of my pieces for the tags. I also spoke with Mr. Trent for a bit on FaceTime and gave a visual update on the store. The class was great and the tags are just fantastic. But don’t take my word for it, have a look for yourself!

Angie's Tag Class 1

This is the first one, just a single tag.

Angie's Tag Class 2

And here is the second one closed.

Angie's Tag Class 3

Here it is with the one side open, it’s like a little mini album!

Angie's Tag Class 4

And the other side, see the embossing paste and the gorgeous Graphic 45 Papers?! Now that would be a nice little gift for mum don’t you think?! I had a great time at the class and look forward to next month’s!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS141 DT Sketch 4-22-2015

This is a nice quick card that I made when I got home last night! My card base is… well… you know what it is! LOL! The background is piece of Basic Gray. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack for the background. Across the bottom is a piece of Hello Honey, I used the same dies to cut this out and stamped the greeting from the Sheltering Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Basic Gray. My strip in the middle is a piece of Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey that I cut out with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Filmstrip Die. The inside is adhered with SNAIL and the frame with strips of Foam Tape. Finally, three butterflies form the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set are stamped in Basic Gray and punched out with the Bitty butterfly Punch. Some pieces of Foam Tape hold those in place nicely! So there you have my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Don’t forgot to head on over to the Design Team blogย and see what the others have done. I hope that you enjoyed my card and thanks so much for your visit! Have a fun Hump Day everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this card. Lost Lagoon is my favorite color and Hello Honey is my second favorite. I love it against the gray. Going to Radio City Music Hall today . . . Hope we don’t have to stand in the rain.
    ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I do believe that you have outdone yourself on this card. It is absolutely beautiful. And I need that filmstrip. NOW! The tags are amazing too! Nice to catch up with you last night!

    1. Woo hoo! Thank you very much Michael! Angie did do some really nice tags!! Speaking with you is always a great addition to my day! XO ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Love love the tag Mother’s day card. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing your great talents. You are amazing.

  4. WOW JUSTIN, the tag is outstanding. I would love to receive something like that for Mother’s Day. I am definitely showing it to my 3 daughters to see if anyone takes the hint. The detail is amazing. What Graphic 45 design is that paper? They have the coolest paper out there. Also, does Scrap-a-Latte carry their paper line and if so, do they ship? I know I could buy online, but would much rather support an independent shop. Thanks for so much inspiration.

    1. Thanks Roseanne! I had a lot of fun in the class making them! LOL! I hope that one of your daughters takes the hint! I think that the paper is called Time To Flourish May. They do have a some really nice papers and it’s so thick! Scrap-A-Latte does carry the paper line, I am trying to convince Renee that she needs to start taking orders and ship stuff! I will let he know that you are interested! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Hi Justin, love your card, all of my favorite colors together. The tags are awesome, love the Mother’s Day tag album. I love to hold stampin classes/camps but I absolutely love attending someone elses also. The weather is sunny and warm in Galveston, hope your day is the same.

    1. Hello Janell!
Thank you! I do love those colors together too! I had so much fun attending the class, I’ll be there for next months too! I’m glad that you are having nice weather! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Good Morning Justin:

Your tag card is so ultra Victorian! How did you ever get the panels hooked together? I’m sure any Mother would be thrilled to receive this work of art. I bet it was nice to take a class for a change. I always preferred taking a class to giving one.

I have got to get that Filmstrip Die! I have a gazillion ideas in my head that go with that. Not sure why I’m waiting to get it but every time I see it I say “better order that die” and then proceed to forget about it. LOL

Today we are off to Sam’s Club (ugh!) to “restock the larder” as they say. Not my favorite thing to do but heck, you do what you gotta’ do right?

Wishing you a Happy Hump day! We actually have sun this morning but it’s supposed to rain after noon.
Drat! Hugs to you my friend! XXOO

    1. Hi there Grace!
The tags were so cool! I had to take the class and it was fun! Angie is very talented! The panels are adhered together with Washi Tape! I like giving the classes but taking it was great!
The filmstrip die is neat, I have had it for a while and was happy to have the perfect excuse to use it! See, I get them and then forget to use them!
Sam’s Club isn’t too bad, you have to keep the supplies up right?!
I had a nice day and the same weather as you! Love you!! XOXOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Hi Justin,

  10. Hello Justin! What gorgeous tags those are! Love the colors and the paper…so pretty! Your card is awesome today too! I absolutely love those stitched dies! To “die” for! ๐Ÿ˜‰ And I’m gonna miss that Moonlight dsp paper stack…good thing I hoarded some of that. Rainy and dreary here today…there was even a flake or two again earlier. I am not putting my boots back on! I went to Costco earlier with open-toed sandals and a few people looked at me like I was crazy. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Karen!
Yes, I love the tags that’s why I had to take the class! Happy you like the card too! The stitched dies are to “die” for! No more snow!!!! LOL! You wear your sandals, scoff at the face of the remnants of Winter! ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. A double duty design today! Awesome tags! They are gorgeous and I really MUST know how you put them together to make that “mini” tag album. Did you use Washi Tape ? And, your card? Oh my! Perfect little dots around that frame. I must have that die too! I keep telling myself.. “now Bobbi, you have SO many things you have not used, including non SU products, so don’t buy it”. Well, I am off to check out Simon Says Stamp and Pretty Pink Posh. These dies are awesome! Thanks for sharing. Hugs!

    1. Thanks so much Bobbi! The tags are adhered with Washi Tape, you are correct! I love that strutted filmstrip die! I have so many things that I have not used too, you are definitely not alone! LOL! Hugs to you my friend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. Hey there Justin, I hope your Wednesday was an awesome day!! ๐Ÿ™‚ What a totally fabulous Mother’s Day tag card — WOW! So gorgeous! I love the shabby chic-y look and you really nailed it so beautifully ๐Ÿ™‚ Your other card is sooo cool with the stitched rectangles and film strip dies. Hmmmm, I don’t have these ones yet…. My budget is a little broke right now though. I just ordered 4 of the Brushed Silver card stock!! I didn’t have much and figured I’d better get it ๐Ÿ˜€ If you find a new supplier, let me know. I am pretty set for a while though, lol ๐Ÿ˜‰ I do love the Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon too and it works so well with the Basic Grey. Are they discontinuing that too?? I guess we have to make room for the new * sigh ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. wow, I’m a little smiley in my sleep deprived state and a little giggly too, LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€ (it is getting better, s l o w l y)

    2. Hi there Jill!
I did have a very nice Wednesday, hope that yours was a good one too! The tags are awesome! Angie is a very talented lady! I love that is and I hope that they still have brushed card stock left! I should have ordered it! I will be on the lookout and definitely let you know if I find another place! Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey stay for another year! Looking forward to the new colors! ๐Ÿ™‚
