Can You Case It #68

Hello peeps! How was your Saturday? Mine was fantastic! I got up in the morning and did my post and the rest of the social media hubbub. The I got on FaceTime and had some coffee with Mr. Trent. We also worked on projects while we chatted, a nice way to begin the day. I also spoke to Andrea for a bit. Around 11:45 I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte, with the top down of course, to give Renee my cards for this month’s class. She loved them and even squealed a little at two of them! LOL! I had some lunch with them and just hung out and chatted with the ladies. On the way home I stopped at Michaels to pick up a few things and visit Taylor. Once I got home I had eclectic dinner that consisted of a Matzo, 2 slices of cheese, two pretzel rods, a Resses Egg and a handful of nuts. Surprisingly I wasn’t hungry after that! The rest of my evening was nice and relaxed too, I Skyped with Eva for a bit and then continued the relaxing trend for the day. Like I said a very good Saturday indeed!

So, it’s Sunday and that means that it’s time for another Can You Case It challenge. This week we have a fun sketch…

CYCI #68

I went with another “different” color combination! My card base is… well you know what that is! LOL! The front is covered in a piece of Wisteria Wonder. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Blackberry Bliss. My greeting is from the Hello Life Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. My heart is the Simon Says Stamp Sketch Heart and is heat embossed in the same. I used some Fun Foam adhered to the back of the Blackberry Bliss panel and then adhered that to the card. My strip of hearts is the Simon Says Stamp Super Heart Border. I trimmed it and adhered it to the card. The positives of the hearts are adhered with Foam Tape along with the Sketch Heart. Yes, I’m still loving that sketch heart and the color combo is growing on me! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Can You Case It sketch challenge! Head on over to the blog and see what the other talented designers have come up with. I hope that some of my crafty readers with take some time and post a card to the gallery so I can see your interpretation of the sketch! Thank you so much for stopping by to see what I have been up to! Have a super Sunday my friends! 🙂

  1. Love the colour combo ☺ and one of my favourite SU sets too. Feel the urge to go craft this afternoon lol. Enjoy your Sunday.

    1. Thank you Rachel! I do love that sentiment! I hope that you get to have your crafty afternoon! 🙂

  2. Justin, this is Fabulous! This color combo is amazing and your design is just perfect! 🙂 I sure hope we will get a chance to see those cards and especially the two that made the ladies squeal a little 🙂 Have a wonderful Sunday!

    1. Thanks very much Tina! I wasn’t sure about the colors but they grew on me! I’ll start posting the cards from class again next Saturday! Have a fantastic Sunday! 🙂

  3. Good Morning Justin!

I have taken that saying from the Hello Life set to heart. I actually spent the entire day stamping yesterday, except for cooking lunch and dinner. I made cards for all of my “senior citizen” gal friends using the phrase from the SU photopolymer set Just Kidding. It’s absolutely perfect and says “Happy 29th birthday……from your 110 lb. friend”! I know they will find that as hysterically funny as I do. LOL

I love that you make use of both the positive and negative heart images. I think it adds so much to the card and the idea that the negative image paper is being used instead of thrown away is terrific – no waste of perfectly good card stock. You did a wonderful interpretation of the sketch this week (well, you always do DUH) and I’m sure everyone involved in the challenge will love it.l

Have a Spectacular Sunday. It’s sunny and warm here and I may even finally get to open the windows while I watch the race from Talledaga today. Hugs to you my friend! XO 🙂

Thank you! I do like that Super Heart Border and the fact that you can use both the positive and negative pieces is a fun bonus! I keep every little bit of Card Stock, I’m a bit of a scrap hoarder!
My day was pretty spectacular! The weather was great and I was in the car for a while with the top down!I hope that you enjoyed your race! Love to you Grace!
