Fab Friday 64

Now that was a busy Thursday! Work was pretty hectic, lots of little things to take care of. Straight from work I stopped by the house quick and picked up Taylor and we headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to finish preparing for card class night one! It was a great time as always, everyone had fun and really enjoyed the cards! Reverse Confetti even sent a bunch of “Class Only Stamps” to give out to the attendees! Class ended at 9:30 and it was then that I realized that I still had my card to make for today’s post! Poor planning on my part for sure! So that’s just what I did when I got home. I did get to play with some new goodies so it’s all good!

And the card that I made for today is for the Fab Friday challenge! This week we have a sketch for you…

Fab Fri 64 5-15-2015

I was tempted to use a flower and watercolor and then I thought, starting that at 10:30 is not a good idea! LOL! But here is what I came up with instead! The card base is the usual and the background is a piece of Pool Party. I used a piece of paper from the NEW Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack for my strip down the left and backed it with some NEW Cucumber Crush. The main panel is a piece of Whisper White, I stamped my candles from the NEW Build a Birthday Photopolymer Stamp Set in Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay and the NEW Watermelon Wonder Ink. The flames are stamped in Crushed Curry. I stamped the Bermuda Bay one again and cut it out with my Paper Snips, some Foam Tape adheres it to the card. The greeting is from the Amazing Birthday Stamp Set and is stamped in Bermuda Bay, cut it out with my Paper Snips and backed with some Watermelon Wonder. Some more Foam Tape adheres it to the card. Finally, a little brush of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen on the candles and the card is finished! A nice bright fun birthday that would work for just about anyone! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Fab Friday sketch! Make sure and stop by the blog to see what the rest of the talented Design Team has in store for you! Thank you so much for visiting and have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

  1. Oh how fun fun fun! Love the mix of colors on this. I received my preorder this week and can’t wait to play with my goodies. The Cherry on Top stack has great patterns to use. Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder colors my favorite. I haven’t posted in quite a long time. Glad to be back.
    Thanks Justin for your creativity.

  2. Hi Justin, Long time hearing from me. I’ve been reading, but very quickly. I’ve had a lot of transcription work. I love this BD card. A real keeper to me. I like the wreath on your Mother’s Day card, and the monochromatic cards too. I also wanted to mention, I live around the corner from Seaqua Deli. Next time . . . I’ll come meet you. Their breakfast sandwiches are the best . . . BLT’s, fried egg and bacon . . .I’m getting hungry. Have a great weekend.
    🙂
