Pals Paper Arts 250

Yes! It’s Friday and a very happy one to you! It was another nice day here, so glad that we are having some Spring! Sometimes we go right from Winter into Summer! Yesterday was a good day at work. I had the Gala last night but I did come home for a bit and got to play with Daniel for a while before I left. We ran around the backyard and played ball. He is a pretty good kicker for a little guy! Around 5:15 I headed out to go and pick up Marissa, my date for the evening! The Gala was at a new venue called the Space in Westbury. It was really nice, a good mix of old and new. The food was excellent and my old boss Nancy and the CEO and COO were there too. The entertainment for the night was Thelma Houston and she sang “Don’t Leave Me this Way”, remember that?!?! I got home around 11:00 and finished up my card for today. A pretty fun way to spend a Thursday!

Here is a picture of Marissa, Me and Nancy from last night!

Marissa, Me and Nancy LGBT Gala

That card that I made last night is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

PPA 250

I went with a nice clean card. The base is the usual! For my background I cut out part of a circle from a piece of Hello Honey using the Circles Collection Framelits. I adhered some Fun Foam to the back of it and then adhered it to the base. The large and small rings of circles are cut from some Coastal Cabana using the Simon Says Stamp Dots Circles Dies. I cut of the left sides and adhered them with 2-Way Glue. The greeting is from the Fabulous Four Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Baked Brown Sugar and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. Like I said, a very clean card! Loving those Dots Circles and the way they pop against the Hello Honey! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge! Thanks, as always, for taking some time to come by and visit with me! Have a really great Friday! 🙂

  1. I love the clean look of this card. It really pops! Nice job on the color combination also.

  2. Good morning Justin. When we were on Facetime the other night and I saw these dies, I was thinking “eh”, do not need. But nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! You go and make this card and now I need these dies!! Great card. Love it

    1. Hi there Michael! Well, I had to show you that the dies were just as neat as I told you they were!! Thank you very much my friend! 🙂

  3. Love this card!! And all the great ideas and inspiration on your blog! Happy weekend!

    1. Thank you Theresa! I’m happy that you come by to share! You enjoy your weekend too! 🙂

  4. Oh my Justin – you dress up pretty nicely! LOL AND the ladies are just gorgeous, they look like something out of a modeling catalog! So glad you had a great time at the gala.

I have to agree with Michael. I would have said “I don’t think so” to those circle dies but since you presented them so beautifully I will have to rethink the possibilities they present again. The card design is definitely universal. I can see this design as a birthday, anniversary, wedding, baby or ever s sympathy card with the circles representing the circle of life. Just a beautiful card for sure

I have your have a Fabulous Friday. The sun is shining and even though the temps have dropped a bit it’s still just a perfect weather day here in Maine. I hope your weather is as nice. Love & Hugs……….. 🙂

    1. Aww… why thank you Grace! Nancy and Marissa will be quite happy to hear that!
Thank you!! I’m glad that you too like the dies! I saw them and thought that they would be great for background elements! Nice and simple is good sometimes!
I hope that you fully enjoyed your Friday! I definitely did! We had great weather and I had a good time last night with my peeps! Love and hugs to you!! XOXOXO 🙂

  5. You constantly amaze me at how much you can get out of the same 24 hours everyone has!! Great pic of the three of you at the gala. Your card is great and I love the dot circle dies and the color combo you used.

    1. LOL! Sometime I amaze myself HJ! Glad that you like the pic and the card! The dies are great! 🙂

  6. Everyone looks so nice in the photo. 🙂 Are you going to SU! Convention this year?

    1. Thank you Lisa! I don’t think that I will be able to go to Convention this year. With my trip to London planned I won’t have the extra cash. I am really bummed about it too! 🙁

  7. Justin, I LOVE this card! It’s clean and crisp and I adore the repeated circle element! Thanks for taking some time out of your ever so busy social life to play with PPA this week. Great picture of you. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Katy! Love playing along with you guys! Glad that you like the pic too! Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

  8. Another rocked challenge! when i saw these colors together I was like, “Hugh” But you pulled it off. Love this. OK you need to STOP showing the simon Says Dies because I love this and now need. OMG

    1. Yay! Thanks so much Linda! I am a little addicted to the Simon Says Stamp dies too! Sorry! LOL! 🙂

  9. Hey Justin, don’t you scrub-up well!?! (That’s Aussie for you look really nice, lol!) and, yes I remember that song – glad you had a good time 🙂 This card is really cool, those circles are different to anything I’ve seen, the colours show them off really well! My husband has gone on a trip to the Northern Territory (outback) with his trucking mate, and I see on instagram that the turbo in the truck blew and they have ended up in a luxury, 5 star hotel in Alice Springs. I smell conspiracy… He posted pics of his massive breakfast, mmmmm… Half his luck hey!?! 😉 Enjoy your Friday Justin XOXO

    1. Ha ha! Yes, I do try Kelly! I’m glad that you remember the song!! It was fun to socialize with my work peeps! Thank you! I do love the circles dies! I thought that the colors were perfect for them too! Oh! Lucky hubby! Or maybe it was all a plan! LOL! I hope that they have a great time! XOXO 🙂
