Paper Craft Crew 144

Well, the good news is that yesterday the training went much better than I thought it would! Casey was able to do a WebEx meeting with us and I actually knew more than I thought I did, that’s always a nice surprise! LOL! So it was a good day after all! We had hamburgers and beer battered french fries for dinner and then I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to get ahead start on some projects that I have been working on. I’ll be at Scrap-A-Latte tonight for a while helping prepare for class and then tomorrow and Friday is the class. It was so popular that we added a second night! Woo hoo! This month is Reverse Confetti and I can’t wait to show the cards to you but I still have a month or two left to get caught up with. I’ll post some more this weekend!

Well, it’s Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS144 DT Sketch 5-13-2015

I had to play with some more Simon Says Stamp goodies! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb. I used some long forgotten Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine and flicked it on the card front. The panel on the right is a piece of paper from the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper Pack backed with a piece of Night of Navy. All of the images and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are all cut out with the coordinating Lovely Day Wafer Dies. I stamped the wreath in Garden Green and the heat embossed the greeting in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum and adhered it to the back of the wreath. The second greeting is stamped in Calypso Coral, flower in Crushed Curry, stem in Garden Green and the flowers in Blushing Bride. The are all adhered with Foam Tape and SNAIL. To finish off the card I adhered three pearls that Mr. Trent had sent home for me with some Thermo-Web Bling Glue Dots. I love all of the elements and how well they go with the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Take a little detour over to the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has for inspiration for you! I thank you and appreciate your visit as always and I wish a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin:

So glad to hear your training session went well. Once in a while it’s nice to have a GOOD surprise at work. LOL

That DSP reminds me of the calico fabrics that were popular in the 30’s and 40’s. Bright with lots of colors and somewhat small prints. A very happy DSP for sure. I must be thinking of Brian and his Hawaiian trip because the flowers you put under the saying makes me think of Hula skirts! 🙂 I absolutely love that wreath and of course the vellum in the center is the perfect touch. Beautiful card my friend. Your creative juices were really on the march when you made this one.

Have yourself a whimsical Wednesday and enjoy your time at Stamp a Latte with Renee. Luv ya!

    1. Hello Grace!
Yes, I was quite relieved that it went well! I love good surprises at work! LOL!
Yes! You are right about the DSP! It is a very happy DSP for sure! Ha ha! The flowers do look like hula skirts, maybe I was thinking of him too! LOL! It’s a fun stamp set and I love the smaller scale of all of the pieces!Thank you!
Taylor and I cut for two hours and there is still more to do!! Lots of died cuts on this month’s cards and 26 people at the classes! Ugh! LOL! Hope that you are all packed and ready to go! Love you too! XOXO 🙂

  2. Justin,
I love the way you use vellum on your cards. It looks so cool when it’s stamped and framed. Really pretty card.
