Paper Craft Crew 145

Well,  it’s been a few hours since my last post! LOL! I had the Control Freaks Blog Tour last night featuring products from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog. If you missed it and would like to see the cards and take the complete tour click HERE! Yesterday was gloomy and rainy until about 2:00pm when the sun came out, a nice way to finish the day! Work was loads of fun, I had some people come in to have their signatures captured and of course the equipment wasn’t working so I had to figure out how to fix that, no surprises there! I came home and had dinner and then realized that I had the aforementioned Blog Tour and I had no projects so into the Stampin’ Galley I went and made my cards and then typed the post with 15 minutes to spare! Ahh… pressure! Anyway, sometimes it’s the best way to work!

So for today, since it’s Wednesday, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS145 DT Sketch 5-20-2015

When I sat down with this sketch the other day I knew exactly what I wanted to do! Love that! The card base is Whisper White and measures 5″ x 5″. The background is a piece of the NEW Watermelon Wonder Card Stock with a piece of Whisper White on top of that. Across the bottom is a piece of paper from the NEW Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. I adhered some Whisper White 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon around the back and made a bow with it too. All of the images and greeting are from the Snuggles and Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The squiggly flower is heat embossed on Crushed Curry with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits. The LOVE is heat embossed in the same on Vellum and both the circle and the vellum are tucked behind the DSP. Another sliver from the DSP is adhered with Foam Tape on top of the ribbon. My greeting is stamped in Watermelon Wonder and punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch and also adhered with some Foam Tape. I used a “Vintage” Paper Clip clipped to the vellum and one of the hearts from the set stamped in Watermelon Wonder and punched out with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. A little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen is brushed over it for some sparkle. Finally three enamel dots are adhered in the upper left. I really am loving that DSP aren’t I?! LOL! I t really does have some cool patterns in it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Make sure that you stop by the blog and see the rest of the design team’s projects! Thanks very much for your visit today! Enjoy your Wednesday my friends! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin, Love that little heart on the clip. The DSP looks very happy too, the colors are fabulous.

    1. Hello Nancy!
Thank you! The DSP is very happy and I love the new In-Colors! 🙂

  2. Justin,
This card is adorable! Love that sentiment. And as always, I love the embossed vellum.
Great card for little Daniel. 🙂

    1. Thank you very much Gerri! The sentiment is really great! You know mw and my Vellum! LOL! 🙂

  3. I just love when you use all or almost all SU stuff! I got the new catalog last night and used the new In Colors. They are so much better than they look online! My card used Tip Top Taupe background stamped off once and flower in Memento ink. It’s a new stamp set that is versatile. Love the Cherry on Top paper on your card…have great day! Nancy B

    1. I like to use all Stampin’ Up! too Nancy but I also have fun with my other goodies! The In-Colors are great and the catalog and online doesn’t do them any justice! Your card sounds lovely! Hope that you day was wonderful! 🙂

  4. Good morning Justin, I really like today’s card, the watermelon and curry colours go so well together! The DSP is very cute too! You have designed the perfect setting again, too clever! It seems we have met in the middle again weather-wise with the gloomy and rainy forecast, not too much sunshine happening here! Yesterday we got coffee and drove to the wharf and watched the rain coming over the mountain range, it was nice! I hope your day is a little more relaxing than yesterday!! Cheers Justin 🙂 xoxo

    1. Hello Kelly!
Thank you so much! I love that DSP, it’s so happy! It’s funny that even though we are so far apart that our weather can be so similar! Sounds nice to sit at the wharf, I love to be by the sea! My day was relaxing, some drinks with Heather was a nice way to end the day! XOXOXO 🙂

  5. This is a fantastic creation! Love how watermelon and crushed curry go together. The DP is really a cute finishing touch. I wish I created half as fast as you. I cant believe you did all those gorgeous cards in such a short time.

    1. Thank you very much Linda! I really do love what I get to do! I’m happiest when I get to be creative! 🙂
