Sketched Blooms Hello

Hi there and happy Saturday to you! I woke up to some rain this morning, which was unexpected! It’s supposed to be in the 80’s today, let’s hope that those weathermen are correct! I had a nice Friday, it was National Donut Day so Marissa and I went to Dunkin’ Donuts in the morning. She got a box of Munchkins for the training that she was teaching and I got a coffee (not really a Dunkin’ coffee fan) but it came with a free Oreo donut, yum! When I got home from work (I departed at 3:30!) I sat down to make a card and Skyped with Andrea for a bit. Anthony and Bill came and picked me up at 6:00 and we headed to Costco. I needed to get some Crunchy Rice Rollers and of course found lots more things! $100 later and we were off to dinner at Fridays. Before they dropped me off we stopped at Target so Anthony could pick up a new stylus. When I got back to the house Taylor was here watching her Pretty Little Liars marathon (so did not expect that!). She left around 12:00 and I decided that it was time for bed! Last weekend Daniel and his parents went to the Long Island Live Steamers, it’s a place where you can go and ride on small scale trains and learn all about precision steam model making. In true Daniel style his mum had him dress the part. The picture was just too cute not share!

Now on to today’s card which I made and sent to a very special person as a thank you for a sweet little gift that I received! It was inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest a while back. The base of the card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Some Washi Tape from Michaels is adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb along with a piece of paper from the Heidi Swapp Hello Today 4.5 x 6.5 Paper Pad. My tag is a piece of Smoky Slate that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Die and stamped with the “Vintage” Woodgrain Background Stamp in Smoky Slate. The flowers, leaves and greeting are all from the Clearly Besotted Sketched Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the leaves in Night of Navy and Smoky Slate on White, the flowers and greeting are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, the flowers on Vellum and the greeting on Night of Navy. To cut the flowers and leaves out I used the coordinating Sketch Blooms Die Collection. Some American Craft Navy Jute Twine is tied through the top of the tag and the tag is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. The inspiration for the colors was the Washi Tape and I just love those flowers! I hope that you enjoyed my little thank you card for today! Have a super, simple Saturday and thank for sharing some of it with me! 🙂
