Mojo Monday 403

Yes, there goes another rapidly dwindling weekend. Although I have to say mine was very good. Yesterday was pretty relaxing. I had waffles with Taylor in the morning for breakfast and then went over to my parents’ because Daniel was there. He was in his “What’s that?” phase yesterday, that’s where he just sits and points at things asking, “What’s that?” over and over again. It’s usually the same thing, but he’s cute so it doesn’t matter. I came home and then Daniel came over to visit me, because he likes to do that now. LOL! We played a little bit more “What’s that?” in my house before he looked at me, said bye, grabbed my mother’s hand and left. The rest of the day I just relaxed, it’s nice to have a day like that every once in a while. I hope that you all had a good weekend too.

The good thing about Monday’s is that it’s time for another Mojo Monday challenge! This week’s sketch is provided by the very talented Julee Tilman…

Mojo403

I haven’t done a mostly white card in a really long time, so I thought I’d give that a go today. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I wanted my flagged piece and my greeting to match, so I coated the end of the flagged piece in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder. Next up is a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb that is adhered to the card with some Fun Foam and SNAIL. My greeting is from the A Whole Lot of Lovely Stamp Set and is heat embossed in the same Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder on Vellum. I die cut my wreath using the Simon Says Stamp Danville Wreath and adhered it to the card with Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. To finish off the card, I adhered a few Hazel & Ruby The Makery Shine and Sparkle Sequins on the wreath with Crystal Effects. I really like all of the white with the splashes of platinum and I love the way the greeting and the wreath match. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. Please take a minute to head on over to the blog and see what the other designers have for inspiration for you and enter your card in the gallery so we can see your take on the sketch. Your visits are always greatly appreciated. Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hi Justin!
Another beautiful, elegant card! Love the white on white. Love that you embossed the flagged ends of your banner to match the sentiment.

    1. Hi Gerri!
Thanks so much! I think it’s neat when you can heat emboss something unexpected! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Very elegant and classy. That die is so intricate. And the staging is perfect. Have yourself a wonderful first week of summer! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you Louise! Yes, I love that die! I hope that you are enjoying your first week of summer too! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Oh my Justin! Often we see elegant cards for weddings but rarely do we see one that is perfect for the new bride and groom to send as acknowledgement of a wedding gift. This card is just gorgeous and encompasses all the grace that a formal wedding exudes. It is just amazingly beautiful and I know if I received it as a thank you I’d put it in a little frame so that every time I saw it I could admire it and smile. It’s hard to express how lovely I think this card is. You are very talented my friend and I’m so glad you had a wonderful Father’s Day. Now go and have yourself a Marvelous Monday. Love and Hugs, ๐Ÿ™‚ XXOO

    1. Oh Grace! I know I say it all the time but I so do love the way that you describe my cards! It would definitely be a great thank you for a wedding present! I did enjoy Father’s Day and the whole weekend was actually quite good! My Monday was pretty decent too! I hope that you was spectacular! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. *Love* your wreath design, Justin! I *love* wreath dies in general and have at least 4 different ones. (I should go check my stash and see if I have more than 4.) The white on white is really elegant.

    1. Thanks El! I too am a big fan of wreaths, especially simple ones! ๐Ÿ™‚
