Pals Paper Arts 254

Hello there my friends and a very happy Friday to you! Thankfully we didn’t get any rain yesterday and it was actually not too bad, we even had some breaks of sun! Today it’s supposed to be overcast but no rain again and the weekend is to be nice too! It was another busy day at the office and straight from there I went to see Renee. I missed her! We FaceTimed with Michael for a bit and then I went to my parent’s to have some dinner. From there I headed over to see Brian and Kim for a bit with Taylor. Love catching up with them, they are just the best! When I came home I sat down and made my card for today. Another full but fun day! Tonight I’m out to dinner with Anthony and Bill, not sure where we are going yet but it will be a good time no matter what!

The card that I made last night is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

PPA 254

Thankfully I have some Strawberry Slush left! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Theย panel is a piece of So Saffron. I used the Simon Says Stamp Ring Frame Wafer Thin Die to cut out some Strawberry Slush. The rings are adhered to the panel with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. The Simon Says Stamp Circle Smile Die is cut from So Saffron and Soft Suede, I adhered it to the circle that was cut out with the Ring Frame. Some of the other circles along with the smile are adhered back into the frame with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Happy and Smile Photopolymer Stamp Set, it’s heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Soft Suede and also adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A strip of paper from the Park Laneย Designer Series Paper Pack is adhered to the card base on the right. The panel is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Spring Mix Sequins are randomly adhered to the card and that finishes the card for today! I really do enjoy that Ring Frame and love that Circle Smile Die too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge! Have yourselves a simply awesome Friday and thank you for spending some of it with me! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. lovely bright card! do you always use 110lb. weight paper for your card bases??

    1. Thank you MaryJo! Yes, lately I have been using 110lb, love how nice and sturdy it is! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Exciting card! Perfect for our pre-teen grandsons who are beyond the “cute” stage yet not ready for a “manly” card. Thanks again for a “perfect card”!

    1. Thank you Kathy! I think that with a color change it would work for almost any occasion! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Good Morning Justin!

Lots of comments today! I have looked at that circles die several times but could never quite figure out what I would do with it. The smile die is the perfect companion for it and of course the sequins are the perfect touch.

Sounds like you had a good day yesterday and a fun evening planned for tonight. Good for you! It’s going to be a beautiful day here today so we are working hard to get the chores out of the way this morning. Not sure what we will do this afternoon but whatever we decide it will include lots of outside time for sure. We have a new baby girl in our family so I want to make her a special quilt with lots of glittery pink in it. I”ll head to the fabric store sometime today and will most likely spend a few hours oohing and ahhing over all the fabulous fabric. Wish we had some stamping stores that I could ooh and ahh in around here. So sad that the three that were in the area have all closed up. Tell Renee she needs to open a second shop in Augusta or Topsham, Maine just for me. LOL

Have yourself a Fabulous Friday…………..don’t stay out too, too, too late. Love and hugs, XO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Grace!
Yes, I love lots of comments! I really like that Ring Frame die, i have used it more than I though I would and the smile die is awesome!
I like to go out with my peeps on Friday’s to Fridays! LOL! It was a nice day here too! Anytime spent outside is a good time when the weather is like this! Aww, a new quilt for the new baby girl sounds lovely! I can imagine how much fun it must be picking out your material, like making a huge card! I’ll let Renee know, maybe I can come and work in it!
Hope that you enjoyed your day and got outside! I was home by 11:00! LOL! Love you! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Hi Justin! Yes, it’s Friday! Just to let you know, the puppy (Pi) had a great day hanging out at the vet’s and getting herself groomed. She slept like a log all evening and night, poor thing, but she is very high energy so it was all right. I was wondering if you started using SU’s new 100 lb. weight card stock or the heavier Kraft card stock for your card bases, and if so do you like it? If not, why not? Is it because you have been using the Neenah cs? Will you continue using what you already have or will you venture into a pack of the new SU cs? Inquiring minds want to know! Enjoy your day! Nancy B

    1. Hello Nancy!
I’m happy the Pi had a good day at the vet, the shots part didn’t sound like much fun but I guess the grooming was! I actually forgot to order the new 100b CS! I have been using Neenah Solar White 110lb and I love it! Nice and sturdy! I will try the Stampin’ Up! !00lb but the Neenah is $39 for 250 sheets! ๐Ÿ™‚
