Pals Paper Arts 257

Yes! I got my “new to me” car yesterday and I love it! Three hours was spent at the DMV, but that’s the price you pay! I left work at 12:00 and headed over to the car place to get the paperwork and then off to DMV. My parents were there with me for a while and then Heather came up with some Starbucks and the line really moved once she got there! We went back to my house to drop off my old car and then headed up to the dealer to pick up the new one. We stopped back at my house and dropped off Heather’s car and went for a nice ride! It handles completely differently from the Chrysler, it’s nice and sporty. Later on Heather and I went to Monty’s for some pizza and then we met some peeps from my work at a bar to say good bye to Thomas and Keri who are leaving. When I got home Taylor called and asked if she could borrow my old car because her alternator went in hers, talk about perfect timing! So yes, I had a very nice Friday! Here is a picture of the new wheels!

Saab 9-3 Arc Convertible

Yeah I think I’m pretty flash in it! LOL!

Now on to today’s card which is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…

PPA 257

I took some liberties with the sketch this time! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Calypso Coral. I used the Project Life Corner Rounder on both the right corners of the card base and the background. The background is a piece of Mint Macaroon with a strip of paper from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack down the left side. I adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The greeting is from the A Whole Lot of Lovely Host Stamp Set and is stamped in Hero Arts Light to Dark Peach Ombre Ink. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Die to cut it out. Behind it a piece of Pacific Point with both ends flagged and under that is some Silver Thread. The flagged strip and the greeting are adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I’ll say it again, that Pretty Petals DSP Stack has some great colors and neat patterns in it don’t you think and I love that Ombre Ink! I really hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge! I always appreciate you stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin, Great new car. Congrats. I’ll have to throw some pocket change in it for good luck the next time I see you. I like the one rounded corner on your card and the colors. The blue banner picks up the tiny blue from the DSP. I have this stamp set, but . . . didn’t ink it up yet. Have a great weekend, enjoy your car.

  9. Hello Justin! What a great pic…you look wonderful sitting behind the wheel! Have fun with it and hope it brings you lots of joy! Love your card today…I’ve been struggling with some of the patterns in that dsp stack. I think if I make the busier patterns a little smaller like you did, it’ll work. I am crazy about the metallic thread too! And the pop of Pacific Point just makes the card! Love that! Our new puppy is doing great…keeping us busy! She’s like my own personal trainer! πŸ˜‰ Had a little episode at the emergency vet the other night…she caught a little bug. But today she’s back to her old mischievous self! πŸ˜‰ We love her to pieces though! Have a great day and an even better weekend! Woo-hoo!
