Paper Players 248… Oops!

What a nice day I had yesterday! I did my post when I got up and all of the rest of the social media goodness that goes along with it and then I got in the car, put the top down and headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte! It’s funny how driving with top down in the car makes me so happy! I had an everything bagel for breakfast and chatted with the ladies that were there for the weekend crop while I selected my papers for this week’s card class. Around 3:00 I headed home and had a nice surprise, Daniel and my brother were at my parents! I got to spend some time with the little man and then Anthony text me and asked if I wanted to go with him and Bill to BestBuy to get a new phone. Bill’s old phone was about 5 years old and now he has a nice shiny new iPhone 6! After, we headed to SmashBurger for a little dinner and then came back to my house and hung out in the backyard. Before they headed home we did a quick Target trip! I know, I go there way too much! When I got back to the house Taylor was here and I finished up some crafty stuff. A very relaxing day indeed!

Here are Anthony and I acting a fool in Michaels!

Anthony & I Michaels Swords

That was taken with Bill’s spiffy new iPhone! LOL!

Today I have my card that I forgot to post for last week’s Paper Players masculine theme…

Paper Players #248

Hence the oops in the title! I made the card on Tuesday I think but just got a little behind with everything! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Night of Navy. My background is Neenah Solar White 80lb and I stamped it with the anchors from the Simon Says Stamp Nautical Borders Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pool Party. Before I adhered it to the card I heat embossed the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Naughty Nautical Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Vellum. It’s backed with a piece of Night of Navy and adhered around the back with Fast Fuze Adhesive. The ship is from the same set and is stamped in Bermuda Bay and cut it out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies. The waves are from the Nautical Borders Set and are stamped in Pool Party. I also cut out a piece of Night of Navy and Fun Foam with the same dies for the frame. Another piece of Fun Foam and SNAIL Adheres it to the card. A masculine card with lots of blue! I hope that you enjoyed my card for last week’s Paper Players Masculine Theme challenge! Now I’m all caught up! LOL! Thank you for stopping by and have a fantastic Sunday! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin, busy day! Nice sharp picture with the new iPhone. I didn’t even notice you were by Tim Holtz items. That card is very nice. Like the colors and love the sentiment. I think you should have stamped the ship leaving the circle, like it past, like like the birthday. Just something I thought you might do. (I thought that was funny, hope you didn’t mind.)
    🙂

    1. Hello Nancy!
Always a busy but fun day! The iPhone takes the best pictures, it’s what I use to take the pictures of my cards! Mr. Trent is very perceptive! I like the stamp set, it’s fun! I like the ship leaving! I think I will do that next time! Thanks! 🙂

  2. Hey Nancy — great idea! I think if Justin weren’t so time impaired, he would have thought of it too…Very good observation, Michael! Hi Anthony!
Justin, I don’t know how you manage to cram so much into one day, every day. You must have stamping & cleaning elves that come out at night. What a funny sentiment on your card! I so many cards to make right now that I have to spend my day stamping — what a shame. Have a terrific Sunday! Nancy B

    1. Yes Nancy, I liked Nancy’s idea too! LOL! Time impaired, now that is a perfect description! I’m going to use that! Michael doesn’t miss a beat! Ant says hello!
Sometime is sit and write my post and think the same thing, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! The sentiment is great, a little cheeky! Aww, you poor thing having to stamp all day, I feel so bad! NOT! Hope you got all of your stuff done! 🙂

  3. Justin,
Cute card. Love the sentiment and the stitched circle frame.
    Enjoy your day!

    1. Hello Gerri!
Thank you! The Stitched Frames are my fave!! I hope that you had a good day too! 🙂

  4. Hi Justin:

I just love those stitched circles. Of course the saying is a riot and so are you and Bill! Looks like you enjoy goofing off…………my kind of guy! Tell Michael he is way, way overdue for a new blog post.

The card is super. Love the colors and the DSP couldn’t be more perfect even if you made the background yourself. I should probably make a few of those in case I forget a birthday. Heck, lately I seem to be forgetting lots of things………………

Gorgeous weather here. Mid 70’s with a little breeze and lots of sunshine. Great day for a motorcycle ride. Had some company this morning and now getting ready to watch the race. Not sure what’s for dinner, will figure that out later and tonight will bind another side of the quilt I’m working on. Michael’s is having a fantastic sale this week so I need to get up there and pick up a few things…….I so wish one of our stamping stores was still open. I’m tired of paying shipping and handling for everything and it’s more fun to just browse around a store and pick up what you like.

Have a Superb Sunday and thanks for always sharing your life and your talents with us. Hugs. XO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
Yes! Me too! I love all of the stitched dies, especially the Simon ones! I do like to act the fool from time to time! I will pass along your observation to Mr. Trent. He is packing so maybe sometime next week!
Thank you! I thought that it was a fun simple card! I am late with cards all the time, not like I don’t have enough of them! LOL!
It was beautiful here today too! I really do love the summer! Warm sun and a slight breeze, it the perfect combo! I am not a fan of motorcycles at all, they scare the bejesus out of me! I’ll stick to the convertible thanks! We can go to the Ink Pad when you come to NY and maybe even Scrap-A-Latte! I have to stay away from Michaels, between the sales and Taylor’s discount it bad! LOL!
I hope that you had a fun and wonderful Sunday too! Thank you for always taking the time to chat! Hugs back at ya! XOXO 🙂
