Freshly Made Sketches 197

Ahh, I do love a Thursday that doesn’t involve work! LOL! Yesterday was another hot one here, I snuck out of work a little early so I could head into Manhattan to meet up with Michael. It only took me a little over an hour to get in which was pretty good. I even found a parking space down the block from The Ink Pad again! I had to share the space because I still can’t believe that I got into it!

Manhattan Parking

Now that is a tight fit! LOL! While I was hanging out at the store with Michael and Barbara we had a visitor! Jenny from Craft Test Dummies stopped in! She is awesome! I watch her YouTube channel because she gives unbiased reviews of products. You can check out her blog HEREย and her You Tube channel HERE!ย She also has a new series called Hands on Crafts for Kids that is really neat!

I love to meet people that I see on the internet and they are more awesome that you thought they would be!

Now lets move on to today’s card. It’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge. First I want to thank Jen B. for choosing me as her Perfect Prince for last week’s sketch! You can see the winners post HERE and my original post HERE. Now on to this week’s sketch from Jen B….

Freshly Made Sketches 197

I wanted super simple and I just can’t get enough of that Lawn Fawn set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Best Fishes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black in the lower right corner. The banner is a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. I inked up the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp in Hero Arts Butter to Orange Ombre Ink and flagged the bottom before adhering it to the card with SNAIL. My fish and fish bowl are from the same Best Fishes Set and are also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and then die cut them with the matching Lawn Fawn Best Fishes Lawn Cuts. The fish are adhered to the bowl with Multi-Purpose Glue and the bowl to the card with Foam Tape. I love coloring with my Copics but I definitely need a few more colors and I love the Ombre flag! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I’m off to Lancaster in a few with Michael and Sue to go to the CKC Show there! If you are going too make sure that you say hello! Thanks for sharing in my day and have a terrific Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Hi Justin:

How the heck did you get your car into that space and did you ever get it out again? Maybe it’s one of those new fangled cars where you pull up to a space and the wheels turn horizontal and slide in sideways? If you hadn’t taken the photo I never would have believed it! Show the photo to your Dad, he’ll be proud! LOL

Love the little fishy card and Congrats on being a Perfect Prince! Of course, you already are a perfect prince to all of your followers! Wishing you a Terrific Thursday, Fabulous Friday, Sensational Saturday and Superb Sunday! There is no way this can be anything less than a fantastic weekend. Good food, good friends, lots of crafting and shopping I’m sure.
    Love and hugs, XO ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Oh my goodness Justin, if I was in that parking space, I’d have to wait until everyone else had left – then maybe I would be able to leave! Do you worry about your new car getting dents?
Cute cute card, I love those fishies!! Your colouring is so good. The die to cut out the fish must be tiny! Thanks for posting all your photos, it’s cool watching your travels in the warm weather, especially when I’m freezing down here! It’s Friday morning, almost the weekend!!
